how about people who did real life crime and purchased "fraud" "bad" "cheap" units? some got 7 day banneds...

Except it makes the statement that stealing from Kabam is not okay and may result in a permanent ban. Stealing from other people (likely poor people) is a petty offense that gets you a one week ban.

Firstly, we want to clarify that this was not just on a Beta. This affected the live game, and gave these users a distinct advantage over all of you Summoners that play fairly. This isn't something that we can allow.

Now, in reference to the other situations you have mentioned, we take the matter of fraud within The Contest very seriously, and cooperate extensively with our business partners surrounding information they provide us with regarding such usage of their payment platforms.

While we are limited in terms of what information we receive from them, we take action against anyone within The Contest that we receive evidence about in this capacity, which is partially dependent on the severity of the infraction but includes banning. It’s not welcome nor desired behavior that we wish to see within our game.

There's a lot of miss-information being spread in this thread, so please take a moment to read over what we have said here.
