Using a VPN will I get banned?

As the title says, i'll soon be going to a different country for several months and have been told that I will need to use a vpn on all my devices whilst I am there. Will this end up getting me banned?

    I managed to use one fine
    Search up a previous post on this topic, I think a moderator made a comment but I'm not sure
