We Need An Update to Old Champions Synergies

The synergies in this game have been getting more and more complex with every new character that gets released. Many times these synergies don't even effect old champs because they are specific to the next new character in the game. And when we do get a synergy with an old character we have to first obtain the newer character to actually make use of this synergy.
I think this is kind of backwards because this means that when there's a really good synergy that makes an old champ good again, we have to first obtain the new champion which can be very difficult. Why not update old champions synergies rather than introducing newer champs to make them good.
We all know that Kabam occasionally works to update older champs but it always seems to take months. Whereas a synergy update could be a relatively simple "temporary" fix to some of the old and useless champs and then maybe we'd be able to use more of our old classic heros that we all know should be way more powerful than they are currently. If some of the useless armor synergies from the olden days were replaced with more useful synergies it would be a step in the right direction towards making our old champions relevant again.
