**Arcade is being extra tricky with his Murder Box...**
It appears Arcade has been non-cooperative in his approach to this month's side quest and presented his clues in a nonsensical order. Lucky you, Summoners, we have our best and brightest on the case and those clues should now be a lot more straightforward. While messing around in Arcade's files we came across a phrase, highlighted and bolded, with sparkles and pointy arrows: "the abode for the dead" ... Maybe that will help you along the way!

T4 cat trade in - thoughts?

So I was excited to try the new trade in feature; I was so close to what I needed for cosmic and mystic, so after saving up my other cats forever, I thought why not!

Fast Forward 2 min later, and my 3 skill cats gave me a mutant cat. Then, my 3 mutant cats gave ne a skill cat...lol.

Has anyone else had an experience this ****? This isnt just a post to complain; I would genuinely like to know if others are benefiting from this new system or if getting to choose the cat outcome would make this better (possible improvement feedback).

As of now the odds to get what you want seem trash so I guess not recommended for people who arent at endgame yet? I thought it was supposed to help people level up though, so this seems to miss the mark of stated intent. Thoughts?

    50/50 so far. I had a mutant and mystic T4CC expiring in storage. Traded 3 mutants and got cosmic, traded three mystics and got mutant. No more ranking up arena fodder champions to prevent T4CC from expiring.

    Im glad you got some use out of it : D ! I didnt think of that; Im not quite at the level yet where Im overflowing with class cats but I bet that was better than before with current inventory cap.

    I wish that was explained as a possible benefit in the email as opposed to framing it specifically as a way to level up champs. The inconsistency felt bad to ne; I hope others get luckier.

    Thank you for your comment; that helps me understand a little more why the change happened. So far my takeaway is maybe its something to steer clear of except in that kind of case in current state. If I get the wrong one in my situation the net loss seems too great

    I guess on the bright side, the more fails the the higher the probability of a different outcome (theoretically). I personally wouldn't risk it again though

    I traded 3 skill cats and 3 cosmic cats. My skill crystal gave me a cosmic and my cosmic gave me a skill. GFY Kabam. Seriously, any, ANY other outcome would have been okay.

    Some players have been getting 1-3 T4CC crystals every AQ cycle for over a year. MCOC is based on luck/RNG, you shouldn't gamble your T4CC unless you have nothing to lose.

    That's a good callout; I just wish the announcement was framed differently - it sounded like a change to help people level their champs universally.

    I dont think everything in the game HAS to be rng based when so much progression is already tucked behind grinding. Im ok with the game being that way for the most part (pay2win is dumb). I just recently became uncollected so I dont know if that classifies me as a mid tier player, but I find it hard to support changes that widen the spread between end game players and those who dont get those kind of resources regularly.

    This just seems like a change that will widen that gap because of the skewed resorce availability when it was framed as something that would benefit a larger demographic of players; so I have my doubts that this is the best iteration of the feature.

    Trash system I would rather rank up arena fodder at least the cats would be used for something rather than traded out for something that u have no control over.

    Supply and demand. My 3 of 15 cosmic ccs weren't worth 33$ dollars each.

    If it costs 3x T4CC to trade-in, at least you should be able to select the specific class of cat that you will get in return (I was hopeful initially when reading the announcement that this would be how it would work, wrong).
    Like each day (tied to Daily Cat Quest class) you could use 3 of that day's class and buy one of 5 different crystals (being the 5 other classes that day, so you can decide which class you want to get).

    I think this feature is garbage. It'd be more beneficial to me to just rank up a **** champion that I'll never use instead of throwing away 2 catalysts without even a guarantee I'd get something useful. I would maybe think about this system if it was 2for1, but 3for1? I should be able to pick my class. Or even drop it to 1for1, but put a limit of this feature being available once every 3 weeks or something. Just get rid of the trash that's currently in place kabam!

    I think that last thought you mentioned is a great idea if there is worry of players abusing greater rewards. There's time based restrictions on all sorts of stuff in the game already- maybe sweeten the deal a little but let peeps dip into the pot of honey a lil less. Right now its more like reaching one's hand into a jar of bees (NOT THE BEES!!!).

    Overall, looking at all the feedback it seems the general consensus is this new system isnt as polished as what it could be (unless one wants to use that one classic quote about polishing a turd lol) with a minor inventory clearing benefit for top echelon players but a drastically reduced benefit for most of the playerbase due to the amount of inherent risk vs reward. It looks like most who were brave enough to test got burnt so Id have say there is some validity to that statement (though Im happy for those who didn't : ] )!

    Hopefully, some value will be found in threads like this about the community's feedback on the new trade in feature and improvements are considered - there are some great ideas already suggested by ya'll on here that could easily translate to the improvement suggestions board too.

    If the real intent matches stated intent to help players get the class cats they need to help them level up champs to progress in the game, it shouldnt be restricted to those with high dispensible income/have been playing the game for multiple years/managed to get into a high tier alliance that showers them with resources - It should be a system that everyone can benefit from.
