MD change. Rank down ticket

Many of us rank up mystic champs to put as aw defender due to the MD mastery.

Now that MD has changed, we should be given opportunity to rank them down as they would not be as effective as before the MD change.

But how about the cost to rank up mystic champs.

Mystic champs is closely related to MD mastery. They work hand in hand.

Change in MD mastery also means a change in mystic champs

MD is an enhancement. Not a requirement to use Mystic Champs. The changes aren't being made to the Champs themsleves. No Tickets are warranted. With or without MD, Mystic Champs perform the same.

I'm gutted. My 5s are rubbish and my duped Dorm was the only 5 I was happy with. I've given up really. Games got to change I guess but my account just gets worse haha.

Plz since there is some changes coming at least you should return rank down tickets to arrange our chaps priority in order to stay in the same enthusiasm in playing

A lot of people including myself spent precious t2a resources on aw defenders like Dorm and Juggs specifically because of the relationship between mystic dispersion and dexterity.. Now that that's changed absolutely rank down tickets are going to be necessary moving forward.

It enhances traits. It doesn’t change the way the champ works.
Everyone can be salty as they like, because they invested resources into mystic champs on the premise of a mastery. Doesn’t change the fact that it is stil that, a mastery.

Not a single reason posed here will change that fact. No champ was fundamentally changed, mystic or otherwise. Not even the gameplay that many seem to think of. This change doesn’t effect anything but the egos of higher tier AW players.
But it goes two ways. Now the opponent will have ‘worthless MD’ as well. So instead of 100% money filled exploration with maybe 20 kills, it will 100% money filled exploration with 10 kills. For both. Stop already.

Feel free to rip me a new one, as that’s the basic response to anyone not jumping on the bandwagon here.

Yes you are right to say now the opponent will have a worthless MD. And yes you are spot on to say instead of 20 kills, maybe now is 10kills.. because it change the way mystic champ works. For both attacker and defender

RDTs or No RDTs.. I'd like the first option but I'm good anyways. But tbh, I don't see much of change in it.. MD will work the same as it did on offence.. Defence will be different but I don't think it's a change that is deserving of RDTs..

Buuuut I could do with some RDTs lol.

Not that I wouldn't like some RDT's, but changing MD does not fundamentally change the way that Mystic champs work.
The mystic champs will work exactly the same as they have worked before. The only difference is that now they won't get as much power as before, because of an overpowered mastery.
Don't expect RDT's because the chances of getting them are ... well they aren't.

Dexterity simply won't be a continuous source of Power for mystic champs now. It was never meant to be - MD has been an unbalancing mastery for a long time. It was likely to be changed eventually, and it was pretty clear with changes to Red Hulk, Luke Cage and Mordo (can be stunned if fatigued) and introducing champions like Blade, that Kabam has been strengthening options against Mystics for some time now.

Juggernaut is still going to be almost as effective. He can still Stagger buffs and gain from it. He can presumably still Stagger the Dexterity buff. How much has changed for him, really? Dorm's degeneration is less likely to trigger if continually set off by Dexterity; so the fact it doesn't refresh any more reduces the number of opportunities for it to trigger, but increases the likelihood it will when the opportunity arises.

Give it a bit of time to compare how many kills your Juggernaut and Dorm defenders get before/after this change before getting all anxious about RDTs.

This sucks, I took Jugs to R4 for AW defense. Jugs is worthless in offense, his only redeeming power is on AW defense with mystic despertion. Now he is totally worthless.

Wow such babies. You didn’t put mystics on defence only because of MD. Mystics are pretty good defenders from start. MD only gives power that’s it. MD doesn’t affect mystic class stats or abilities. So chill out.

Yet another post and yet another incorrect response you make. Consider you take blade into RoL against WS with deep wounds and without deep wounds. You want to guess which blade does better? Blade does not “perform” the same.

What you are trying to say is the mechanics of the champ is the same regardless of a change in masteries.

When making a point, it’s good to have proper context.

I agree with the post. Simply MD change is a game changer. Most players will now favor upgrading other class champs for AW defense rather than ranking up say Dormammu or Mordo. I have both 5* R4 and they will be pretty much useless in AW defense getting no kills after this update. I’d rather rank them down and rank up more useful champs.

Bottom line is yes MD is a game changer for the top most rewarding part of the game

THE ONLY reason I ranked mystic champs like jugs for defence IS MD. he then can gain more power, stay unstoppable longer, corner opponent and smash him there, while he has to dex. now he can't. yes, jugs still goes unstoppable, but he won't do it as much. it's also true for attack - I could use say hood's sp2 to bypass medusa's autoblock, then would get a power bar so I can do it faster once again - now I can't. for sure all those medusa fun boys are very happy now, but they can't deny the changes are huge.
let's go further, say I ranked up vision specifically to counter mystics. yes, he still works the same way, but the value he brings decreases.
As you can see above, it's not just one champ mechanics was changed (wich should guarantee champ specific RDT), but the whole class mechanics, as power gain is big part of a game with sp3 being unavoidable - look at Hype for example. also almost every mystic champ relies on his specials a lot - gr cycles, guly heal reverse, dorm and magie power lock, jugs, etc. only iron fist s... I'd very bad. so I believe we should get generic RDTs. but mostly we won't unfortunately

MD went hand in hand with specific champions.

Whilst it was an enhancement, it was also the reason to keep certain champions around.

Kabam also messed up with the previous diversity changes and many of us were asked to rank up mystics for our alliances to get better defence due to max MD and amount of kills you could wreck up.

MD was and is overpowered as it stands(against anyone but Blade and GHulk) , yet Kabam made Blade to be the mystic wars killer and he ended it. Blade was a game changer. Suddenly the potency of MD was negated and people moved on.

Kabam noticed that everyone was bringing Blade to wars and since they won’t directly nerf him they decided to nerf a mastery in order to stop players from using him every way as he heals (saves some buying pots in war and so it’s less revenue generated).

I agree that this was needed, yet mystic champions have for the most part become completely redundant and this goes beyond a ‘bug’.

This is a full on change which effects every single mystic champion.

As someone that invested in max MD ranks I’m ok with them refunding it and changing MD, yet I do believe that rank downs are needed for mystic champions only.

The best example is Juggernaut.
Juggernaut is all but useless (more so) with the changes. He has no place whatsoever in war defence or attack and nobody will die to him at a remotely high level. This is just a straight up fact. Juggs gets wrecked in war by Blade and soon he will get wrecked by almost any champ.

Dormammu benefits from this more due to him not dying as fast to GHulk but beyond that it’s a general nerf to all mystic defenders.

Rank down tickets should be issued as many have wasted precious resources taking up certain champs and to have them made close to useless due to this change feels insulting.

You don’t specifically get champs for MD, you get MD for champs. This time, I don’t really think RDTs are needed.

I tell you what we do need though. An admidance of guilt from kabam and a better compensation package for 19.0

@Crooked_Sprook1 compensation is over now so no need to reopen a closed matter to kabam. RDT was firstly issued because of a nerf that affected the champions performance and the community point of view of ranking the champions according to the nerf. It doesn’t matter if the nerf happens directly to the champ or indirectly it still affects their performance and definitely our plans of ranking them up or not. RDT talk is definitely valid in this situation. Where was anyone using Mordo or Dormammu other than AW defense ??!! Now you won’t even want them there

MD changes how Mystic champs work and has been a deciding factor in who to rank up for AW defence, if MD doesn't work as well it is pretty much the same as nerfing AW defence champs.

Directly or indirectly it is still nerfing them.

If a direct nerf deserves RDTs then why shouldn't an indirect one?

It is not our fault that Kabam couldn't foresee the issues that they created so why should our decisions on ranking up champs now be a mistake on our part?

In reality Mystic Dispersion is just an ability linked to a group of champs instead of an individual champ. So what you guys are saying is that it's ok if they reduced all power gain for each Mystic champ individually but because it's applied to Mystics in a group capacity it is different? That argument is just plain flawed.
