A way to fix the AW concern

Obviously one of the things that are the tops of discussion right now are alliances purposely losing wars to drop tiers so they can steamroll their way back to the top and earn more points with all the wins.. a valid strategy for sure but i doubt this was intended...

I know this has been mentioned before but surely the way to stop this, is simply have war rating only be affected during season... so the tier and war rating you finish the season at is the same when the next starts regardless whether you win or lose wars inbetween... It also allows alliances that want to take a break from it to do so while allowing those that want to continue doing them during off season to do so without having to think about the effects it will have in the following season!

In my opinion its something that would solve quite a few issues and concerns within the community when it comes to AW!

    Use features of the Websites or Services for anything other than their intended purpose, including exploiting glitches for personal gain;

    Wouldn't tanking be considered exploiting a feature of the game hindering the enjoyment of others for your own personal gain?

    Exactly the point I'm making, so sure a simple fix to this issue is to keep the war rating and tier the same once season ends, so that we start the new season in the same position we ended the last, surely that would eliminate the concerns within the community about this tactic...

    Or set a threshold of percentage of players placed or the match gets canceled. And each alliance has to start matchmaking again.

    With the discussion about AW changes, looks like they are not acknowledging off season tanking.

    just curious which is the preferred outcome...
    Win offseason AW vs alliance that’s tanking?
    Or
    Lose the AW because you got outplayed?
