Alliance War Question

I'm in a somewhat lazy alliance (unfortunately) and the leader opened a war with three BGs, despite that we only have about 10 players who will join.

What happens to a BG with no defenders on it? Is it better to group all defenders on one BG and leave the others empty, or to have defenders on all three?

In the past I've encountered AW maps where the opponent had no defenders, and I wasn't sure whether we needed to hit all nodes or what in that case. Confusing.

unfortunately, empty nodes still count and the other team will get points for passing over empty nodes.... best advice is stack 1 bg with your 10 players and do the best you can and then after war find yourself a more active alliance before the AW season starts.

Thanks. So each team gets points for passing over empty nodes. Got it. But do we get points when our opponent does not pass over empty nodes? In other words, if we leave a BG empty and the other team ignores that BG, what happens point-wise?

If they ignore the bg and they don't move to cover any nodes for exploration, they will not get points for that map, but i doubt that will happen because its easy points for them
