I just tried to do a path in Variant 1 Chapter 2.3. I was crushing the path until I got to Hyperion and Omega Red. All 5 of my champs died from going unresponsive during my 5 hit combo. I understand different content seems to have smaller response windows but this is different. I’m not having this problem in Monthly Quest or Arena. These are the only three types of content I’ve used today. I’m on the current version. iPhone X (current version)
This content appears to me to have problems with input communications. I honestly think you have the AI speed set to high to run smooth. When Deadpool X-Force launches his sp2 against me the animations skipped frames. To me it just feels like you have the AI behaving to quickly to match the natural gameplay flow.

    I washed my hands and cleaned my screen and it appeared to help some. I’m still wondering what a official response would be as to why this wasn’t an issue at all in easier content.

    There are many devices capable of running the game and there are many different factors which can cause issues like these to occur. However, we're always reviewing any reports we receive and working to develop and implement improvements on our end to help make the game run as smoothly as possible on as many devices as possible.
