Fantastic and Doom Invasions! (Updated Nov 4th)

Summoners!

The final member of the Fantastic Four has been found trapped in a prison constructed by their greatest Enemy! Now, it’s time for you to fight alongside them in Fantastic Invasions and Doom Invasions!

On alternating days, you’ll be able to participate in either FANTASTIC INVASIONS or DOOM INVASIONS. These Quests will face you off against Villain, Hero, and Mercenary Champions on behalf of two of the greatest minds in The Battlerealm, Reed Richards and Doctor Doom!

Fantastic Invasions will reward Crystal Shards to help you expand your team of friends, while Doom Invasions will reward Catalysts and Fragments to make your Champions know true power!

Switch Sides Every Day!

These quests exist in 2 Variations that are available for 24 hours at a time, and alternate daily.

During Fantastic Assignments, you’ll challenge the Villains that aim to destroy our Heroic Champions! During Doom Assignments, you’ll stop at nothing to conquer the so-called “Heroes” that stand in the way of the Villains of the Battlerealm!

These quests each consist of 3 paths of 7 nodes each (1 energy per step), with 5 fights per path (including the Boss). There are 4 difficulties for Summoners to explore: Normal, Heroic, Master, and Epic!

Watch out, Summoner! These Champions each have special Buffs to increase the Difficulty of the encounter!

This event will be active from November 6th - December 4th! You must update to version 25.0 to be able to see or participate in this event!

Summoners,

After having many discussions on the subject with you all, and amongst the team, we will be moving forward with some changes to the rewards of Fantastic and Doom Invasions. We heard from our players that they do not believe that the current rewards accurately reflect the time and effort that is required to complete this content, and that the rewards don’t help push the needle on Summoner progression in a meaningful way. While side events are not the place we intend for Top Tier rewards to be gained, we do still want the rewards to be meaningful.

While we don’t usually make adjustments to content before it’s in our Players’ hands, and you had time to experience it, we agree with much of what you have said. We have decided that we will be updating the rewards to include more T5B Fragments, T2A Fragments, 5-Star Shards, 4-Star Shards, and 3-Star Shards. These are the newly updated rewards:

While we always aim to choose a selection of rewards that our players will find valuable and get excited about, hitting the sweet spot for all players is difficult. This month, we chose to include 5-Star Signature Stone Crystals, which is not usually a Side Event Reward, and not always valued as much as items such as 5-Star or 6-Star Hero Crystal Shards.

We do need to make it clear that this increase in rewards is based on multiple factors, and that going forward, you will still see fluctuations in rewards and events. Some events will be more rewarding than others, and some will require more time and effort than others. We will be taking more care to assess the effort that our Summoners put into that Content, and not just the intended difficulty.

Additionally, we’re adding 250,000 Gold to the Gold Arena in our Fantastic Family Milestones for a total of 750,000.

I'm starting to be fed up of those really boring events. Rewards are not really exciting, energy and time cost are high. You need to do something Kabam, or I bet a lot of players are gonna quit.
Triple the rewards. Maybe not the sig stones, but all the other rewards should be like tripled.

I'm starting to be fed up of those really boring events. Rewards are not really exciting, energy and time cost are high. You need to do something Kabam, or I bet a lot of players are gonna quit.

The really connected content creators like Seatin already put out a video today saying as much. People are bored and this year has been so lackluster so far, and now both announcements today have been met with a pretty universal “meh”

I really hope things turn around soon because I’m going on 5 years playing this and I’m starting to get apathetic. I know I’m not alone in that.

Swing and a miss. Please, please, please re-evaluate your rewards. The best analogy I can come with is. We are working a full time job to get get paid part time wages to pay for a $70k dollar car and a $300k house. The rewards vs the costs in the game do not matc

An entire year of introducing the fantastic 4 and building up the hype...finally releasing the final member and easily the one of the most popular marvel villians in doctor doom... and this is what we get, im sorry but this is extremely underwhelming. I miss the events like the trials of the king where it was just 3 to 6 fights where you got some really decent rewards and it was actually worth the time invested... more recently events have been getting longer and considerably more boring, and the rewards do not weigh up to the effort AT ALL.

I was really looking forward to this month, it sounded so good on paper, but this has really disappointed alot of the MCOC community

If nothing else, these events incorporate some interesting concepts.
I could see Kabam making a more interesting version with a 3-month event where, each week, players choose between rewards focusing on either champion acquisition or champion growth. This would allow players to tailor their rewards more towards what they personally need.

Sure the rewards aren't anything to rave about, but hey I like how Kabam is trying out new ideas.

Incredibly disappointing rewards in regards to shards and t5 basic, t2 alpha is good. Increase the five star shards so we get at least a full five star by the end, but preferably two fully formed and at least 2,000 six star shards. If that seems too high, remember that we got three fully formed five stars with negative zones.

I find a little bit disappointing the fact that the sides you can find on alternate. I would much prefer to stick with Dr.Doom (upgrading materials) side each day and I am sure others would prefer to run daily the Mr. Fantastic (shards) side, because we all have different needs for our accounts.

Plus, the mention of buffs on the defenders makes me think that this will not be an "easy" event.

Oh, well. I guess I am picking the difficulty I am comfortable with and just get the rewards I am given.

The way they hyped it up got me genuinely excited for the first time in a while, then I saw doom and Mr fantastic animations and thought wow they are really going out on this... Both look fantastic (pun intended)

But then the event and more importantly the rewards were announced and I felt like a deflated balloon... ☹️ We've gone from up to 3 fully formed 5 stars for a few fights a day for a month, to a huge amount of grinding for not even 1 fully formed 5 star... And the community event was just a joke... Here's me thinking the milestones would be say.... A 4 star then a t4cc then 1/2 a 5 star then a t2a, then a another half a 5 star to form, then some t5b, then some 6 star shards you know....

Not dungeon days, à gold arena and 1 free AQ week.. You still gotta do more work to earn the already earned rewards... What?! 🤔

Only one will be available each day. Fantastic, Doom, Fantastic, Doom, Etc.

There is some confusion about choosing a side only being able to participate every other day.

For example, "choose" Doom, then your play schedule would look like:
Day 1 Doom: Play
Day 2: Fantastic: Don't play
Day 3 Doom: Play...

Some of us interpreted it to mean:
Day 1 Doom: Everybody plays
Day 2: Fantastic: Everybody plays
Day 3 Doom: Everybody plays...

Honestly the rewards are whatever and fine comparatively to other months. It’s a huge disappointment though because of the way Kabam has prepped this month. The Problem with what is happening in this upcoming month in general is it was way overhyped and oversold... and going into holiday season raising expectations further. Could have been great way to unlock things in December as final milestones.

If you are going to increase hype for a month ahead of time through email/in game messages/forum posts which is then further hyped by content creators you can’t just roll out normal rewards that match months we’ve already been kind of meh about. There is nothing special about these rewards along with the rewards in the community challenge and that is not what was sold over October. This just Continues on “bare minimum” trend.

Just saying it’s going to be fantastic doesn’t make it fantastic... it just gets the community’s hopes up and makes us feel even more frustrated because we have been falsely looking forward to something versus expecting the normal upcoming month of grind and bare minimum acceptable rewards.

I think Kabam needs to make a proper assessment of the state of the game and analyze what type of rewards will excite us. We're in a period due to glory and map 6&7 rewards where we have an abundance of rank up materials. People need more 5 stars at this point and events should make multiple ones accessible. We also need sig stones, and an amount of 6 stars/t5 basic shards that can make an impact.

We need 5 stars to become what 4 stars was when we first got access to t5 basics to r5 champions. I think that will close the gap that players are craving for.

The sig stone crystals don't even entice me.

Despite playing this game for 4 years and having 80 5* champs, not one of those champs is a duped skill. So I'm already hoarding 300 sig stone crystals because I don't want to start losing sig stones to overflow time outs.

Correct me if I'm wrong. Events are demanding more time playing and yet we are winning smaller prizes. Seatin has published a video showing that we are getting smaller prizes each time and the game is demanding that we spend more of our lives in front of the smartphone. Please, Kabam. Give us compatible prizes and don't bring events that require 24 hours of play without stopping at least for rest. We are workers, students and we have social and family life. Please. We enjoy the game, but I have a feeling you want us to spend our money on it. We can't dedicate our lives to you because we get nothing for it.

I just saw Seatin's video as well. Last years event was exciting and gave us more rewards for 2 hours of work (if you're an elite player). It's insane.
