OML armor break and ability accuracy

He’s not breaking any armor on sp1 like is advertised. Tried on killmonger and Winter Soldier.

He’s getting his ability decreased by domino but he shouldn’t like advertised

You seem to be looking at crit failure like it triggers when AAR causes your ability to fail. While that can be the case it is not the only case. Critical failure actually has nothing to do with AAR, any time an ability that could activate does not you take the damage. If you have a 10% chance to do something on hit you will get the critical failure debuff on average 9 out of 10 times because it failed to activate those 9 out of 10 times, when it could have if the rng was good enough.

I've been getting armor breaks on sp1 every time since the update. Not sure why but I'm seeing a lot of people saying otherwise.

I havent gotten any armor breaks, also sometimes his sp2 will crit and ill get all 3 bleeds but theyre just regular bleeds....more often then not the crit bleeds will work but ive been testing him all afternoon and there have been alot of sp2s where ill crit, get a bleed off each hit but no crit bleeds.... Alot of times he wont crit on any of the 3 sp2 hits so when he does it should work

This I have experienced, where at least one hit on the sp2 will crit but not result in a crit bleed. By the description it sounds like a crit should result in a crit bleed but maybe it's not guaranteed the way it sounds.

I thought the same, it says a critical hit on sp2 results in a critical bleed, it doesnt say it might result lol theres no percentage, by the wording its just another bug but the crit bleeds are his most redeeming quality imo so hoping they fix it

Thats what i originally thought but with further testing its weird i can get armor breaks against most champs without armor but it doesnt work on any skill champs at all armor or not but works on all other classes with armor ups and then sometimes on any class but skill with no armor buffs, havent seen a pattern yet really

Any word on the Double Edge Mastery mechanic with Old man logan yet? still curious as to why he's taking full damage from the bleed while the regen is active? @Kabam Lyra

I think the reason behind this bug is very obvious.
Originally, OML's SP1 have 125% chance to inflict Armor Shatter debuff to Skill Class opponents, instead of normal Armor Break against other Classes.

Although the datamined info is not 100% accurate,
but OML did have Armor Shatter ability in Kabam's official announcement:

In the final product, Kabam removed OML's Armor Shatter ability,
that's why he cannot armor break Skill Class opponents at the moment.

Can you please give us some insight about why do you remove his Armor Shatter ability?
It gives OML more utility against champs like Killmonger, but won't make him too powerful.

Nice recall! It’s probably related to that. It was armor break for other classes and armor shattered against skill! They need to put it back

@Kabam Lyra any updates?
I should say that OML was never supposed to armor break skill champions but instead he was supposed to armor shattered them (beta tests). So when u guys decided to remove it after presenting it on beta OML is Doing neither of those two. Put armor shattered back and the problem is solved!😀👍🏽

Did you see Mysterio get a crit fail? He shouldn’t have unless there was an armor break node because he doesn’t have any abilities that are less than 100%, whereas OML has a bunch and his sig gives him even more opportunities to fail.

I was explaining the problem with your reasoning with critfail, not with anyhting specific aon anything else. If an ability fails to activate and it could have (because of RNG or something else) you get the damage debuff, critfail itself has nothing to do with AAR. If your ability to do something drops below 100% you can and will start seeing critfails.

There’s no issue actually. Like I and the other dude said before...he was supposed to armor shatter skill champs... just as kabam mike said a couple months ago...here

Technically everything before the actual release of the live buff is subject to change and they changed it to simply an armor break. That's pretty much all there is to it so I wouldn't count on a detailed explanation as to why from a mod.
