Master 1 reward compensation for everyone and write off the rest of this AW season
So, for clarity's sake let's go over all the problems, and how they've impacted the Season standings. 1st, the original loop bug that caused some Alliances a loss due to an inability to kill off a Boss, or Bosses. Not only did they lose the war, they lost a TON of points (my Alliance is in that group). 2nd, the Alliances that were un-enlisted and didn't get a bye. Some more than once. 3rd, those that did get a bye got more points than most could in the best case scenario. All of these together have essentially destroyed the Season standings.
There's no easy fix here. Some say double back to the final war and use those standings, but that's problematic for those of us that got bonked by the loop bug and have bounced back next war. Can't use the standings as is either because some have dropped a reward tier, or multiple tiers. There's THOUSANDS of Alliances involved in Seasons. That's a LOT of data to comb through. There's also still 1 more cycle of war left in the Season. This gives those who haven't been un-enlisted time to catch back up (or fall further down).
So, I still feel my original idea was the most effective way to do right by the majority, but with 1 extra detail added in. Those that did get de-enlisted should be tallied up, and given Season rewards based on their rank as of War 7. Those that didn't will continue to duke it out and land where they land. The additional detail that should get added on, the 5 war minimum should be scrapped this Season because of the timing. Some will inevitably not qualify due to this issue occurring when it did. They moved to an Alliance with 5 to go and their new Alliance suddenly couldn't participate in war due too un-enlistment occurring. That ain't right by a LONGSHOT.
Kabam has their plate overflowing with a steaming hot pile of dung right now. They've made it very clear they're going to do something about it. Considering the fallout, the downtime, all the rough details... this is one of the worst situations I've seen happen in MCoC, especially considering how widespread the issues are. That being the case, and Kabam being aware of it, let's give them the benefit of the doubt. I think they've earned it.
They listened to the community's feedback on the Fantastic/Doom Invasion rewards, and increased them QUITE A BIT. They were very good about communication during the downtime in giving us multiple updates, and the mods engaging in conversation with the forum community. They rolled back the Champion reworks, and didn't 'nerf' Cull. They just gave us the most Epic Summoner Appreciation events to date. Among other things, and that's just as of late. Many tend to forget all the right they've done by us when the bad things happen.
They've stated quite frequently they're going to be more engaged in communication with the community before making game shifting changes. Once they have a plan for this, I'm sure we will be enlightened with the details. Until then, we have to be patient. They can't rush this one, or we'll end up with rushed results. Nothing good will come of that. I'm not saying don't be mad. I'm not saying let it go. Just saying try to give them a little leeway and let's see how this plays out. To all those who've been de-enlisted, I can only imagine the absolute frustration going on in your crew right now. Best wishes for the final stretch to all, and hopefully this gets all wrapped up in a way that the majority are satisfied.
