Featured champions

Why are they so many non-featured/worthless champions in 5* and 6* featured crystal.

I have Sigil and as soon as they updated it with the new featured crystal i popped a Iron patriot, any good features about him baring the American flag all over his suit??

Did hurt but didnt hurt as much as it was 11k shards instead of 15k

With the featured pool, you have a shot to get someone that isn't in the basic pool.
You also have an increased chance to get a certain champ. A much higher chance than the regular 5* basic.
If the featured crystal would only contain god tier champs, nobody would buy the basic anymore, and everyone would have all the god tier champs in the game, which would make the game VERY unbalanced.
