@FF10 Not really. I only have a 3 star of her. But that's why I asked the question. To see who else out there is amazing.

well, I've cleared full paths in Act 5 using my 3* ghost ... I can't do that with my 4* Corvus .. sooooo .. tells ya something ;) hehe

Corvus is a braindead champ who has one of the easiest mechanics in the game, That’s why he is so popular. Have him @ r5 5* myself - no regrets. But for Act 6 - never on my team. Just using him for AQ, where I know I will get much needed charges.

There are many better champs to play with, but their mechanics are way difficult in comparison with Corvus. Quake is a brilliant example; once you will learn not to use classic heavy parry, she becomes an absolute monster. Same applies for Fury, Magik, Aegon, Ghost....

Top 10 Best Attackers In the Order that you can Rank 5 / 65
Note: Ægon (duped) will be top in the list if you need someone for long fights e.g. LOL or ROL kind of fights. His damage is not very good for AQ and AW fights. So He is not in the top 10 list.

    1.Corvus Glaive
    2.Namor(Duped)
    3.Domino
4.Ghost (Need Synergy to be great)**
    5.Black Widow (Claire Voyant)
    6.Captain America IW
    7.Void (Duped)
    8.Omega Red (Duped + Signature)
    9.Symbiote Supreme
    10.Hyperion (Duped)
** Never max-out Ghost until you learn to play her. She deserves to be at the top in the list only if you know how to use her. The reason she is at the 4th position is that she needs synergy to be really useful and so many people cannot even get used to her mechanism.

You met Quake and Ghost. And a bunch of others. I can’t stand Corvus. Too reliant on suicides. And I’ve tried using my 5* R4 time and time again without them. Doesn’t even come close to cutting it

    Most overrated champ by far

Don't get the right charges and he's mediocre at best

Ill take omega red max sig and capiw max sig and ghost over corvus any day. Corvus is useless against thing, man thing, warlock and a couple others. Ive been playing in master aw since seasons started and 100% all content including 6.3. Those 3 champions cleanup more fights reliably than corvus does. Hes god tier certainly. Anyone who would take corvus over those 3 is t making the best choice. Especially capiw there is no hard counter to capiw at max sig. corvus as i mentioned has several champs your going to time out before you can kill. In closing if your not a competitive top tier player and dont want or cant spend the time mastering a champion like ghost omega quake or capiw. Corvus is certainly an easier option for close to the same results

Good to know. I have a maxed 3* Ghost so I'm gonna have to try her out.

All of these comments have been super helpful. Like I said, I'm not an advanced player. I only have 10 5*s, with only 4 of them being useful and the rest of my good champs are maxed out 4*s, so my experience level is minimal compared to a lot of people here. It looks like the general consensus is that Corvus is solid in a lot of content but not all content and that Ghost, Quake, Omega, AEgon, etc. are just as, if not more effective in lots of matchups.

I have an r4 corvus with no suicide. He is not very useful in killing a champ above 15k under 20 glaive charges in map 3. Get a little better with 2-3 charges but I can’t use him for the mini boss kill.

Is that a r4 4*? A r4 5* Corvus can KO map 5 mini-bosses. If it is a 5* you have, then it is either your masteries or you aren't playing him effectively.

It’s a 4/55. I use mlm combo. Hit into blocks too. Are you sure a r4 without suicide can KO a 40k mini boss under 20 charges? I have 2 in assassin and glass cannon maxed

Sure corvus is the most potent while under his glaive charges, but honestly its not really that big of a deal to wait for the glaive charges to return after they have been expended. He still does like normal damage without the crits.
  • zuffyzuffy Member Posts: 2,254 ★★★★★
Map 3, forgot which day. Zero mission. L2 didn’t KO IM so his regen kick in and then it took 41 hits total to ko him

You should have 2 missions or more before taking on a miniboss. Haven't played map 3 in ages, so can't remember who's on what path anymore. Maybe they changed the defenders? But there should be at least one path that can get you a couple missions, I'd imagine.

I agree with this. Have taken him into many long fights and been fine. Even KO'd LOL Rulk once just to see if I could. If awakened, and I know I will not KO the opponent in under 20 charges, I will do regular 5 hit combos, and use the charges up under 30 seconds so they return much faster.
  • zuffyzuffy Member Posts: 2,254 ★★★★★

corvus after the 20charges is ****. his attacks go too low
and without any persistent combo killing anyone besides a tech can be challenging which then requires planning

this is a bit too much though a 10k pi corvus couldn't kill a 8k pi ironman thats just not done right. ik his attacks aren't good after 20 charges
but not being able to kill a 8k pi ironman is a bit too much you did something wrong for sure
The L2 knock him down to 1-2% instead of a KO and his regen kick in. So it was like fighting IM all over again.

Getting 2 missions is not hard. Take out IM for 2 or take out tech and cap for 2. Fought HB mini with 30 glaive charges and couldn’t KO him. One you’re out of glaive, he hit softer than groot. So I just use him for lane clearing and rely on other champs to kill the boss.

Personally I always choose rank 5 5* Corvus first for:

    1) Dungeon 7.
    2) Monthly EQ (now it's easy but still)
    3) Act 6.
    4) Variant 1.3

So he is the best option, the best champ for me in the said part of the game.

I don't know what to tell you, then. I consistently used my (then) r4 Corvus to KO minibosses in map 4 and 5 both with and without suicides.

Do you parry for the armor break before launching sp2? Can attack into block quite a bit using mll for extra crit block damage. Also, wait until OG IM at around 16-17% health with a sp2 ready to go, back off and wait for him to rush you, parry him, then launch sp2. Should be enough to outdamage him before his regen ramps up.

Hard to say why you are having those issues without knowing your play style and mastery setups. Suicides are such a benefit to him, I'd at least work to unlock them and willpower (if you haven't) and try him that way.

I may not be the most experienced player or be a whale enough to have a strong arsenal of 5 and 6 stars, but I've got a decent amount of awesome champs, such as Stark Spidey, SS, GR (my only God tier 5 Star), X23 (incredible bleeder), Void (amazing for boss fights), Quake, AEgon (just got him) and more. But in all my playing, none of them are holding a candle to how Corvus and how well he can just clean up in matches.

Is there any other champion that you all have found that is similarly useful?

I’d argue that ghost, quake in the right hands are easily the best. Guillotine 2099 and aegon by themselves are strong, but at full potential, they’re the best (obviously).

Just got cavalier. Used Corvus (5* R5 with suicides) on the infamous Crossbones boss. Backed out at end of charges, went back in and finished it. 1 revive!

So, basically, he isn’t better than everyone, but he sure thinks he is. And not without reasons!

Corvus is probably to best burst damage champ in the game. Though when you run out of Glaive charges, he immediately turns to a meh champ. Only good for short fights, SUCKS on long fights unless you can get the glaive charges again.
