Passive defense abilities.

I love Hood, but I get so frustrated when he's invisible.

He's invisible, not intangible.
If I am actively blocking/attempting to parry, I should be able to do so - there should be no chance for it to miss.

Same goes with OG Spiderman /Miles and their Evade, but that's another story.

I'm actively choosing to block or parry, that should override the evade/miss/whatever of these heroes.

With Hood - if someone is attacking blindly, okay they potentially miss. But if Hood actively chooses to block or parry the attack, he should be able to.

That can easily be adjusted by simply not having Hood AI throw up as many blocks while he's invisible. Same with Spiderman - the issue is not them as a defender, it's when you are actively controlling the character. Ghost, Invisible Woman - when you actively block or parry, it allows you. Why? For the same reason it allows you to when you're actively attacking - even when phased/invisible. Because you are actively deciding to make contact.

The Hood is choosing to block/parry. There's no way someone should miss, he's actively making contact.
If I am holding block with Spiderman, Domino, Black Widow, etc... the passive evade should not trigger.

If you are holding a Block stance, you still want people to Miss against hitting into Hood's block. I’m not gonna just stand there as an invisible hood without holding a block, because I don’t think it’s actually 100% miss (or opponents might AAR it too).

BUT AGREE about attempting to PARRY. Which in Hood's case isn’t really as critical whether it Parries or not, because on a miss instead you could just counter right away anyways (like UC/Jugg in Unstoppable mode). But for all those EVADE champs (Spider-Man, NC, etc), would love for the Parry Attempt to be decided first by the algorithm, and then only if you weren’t gonna be doing a successful Parry would it then proceed to the part of algorithm where it checks if an Evade should occur.

Hold block and hope he naturally evades and gains poise charges.

Most specials are easy enough to avoid, but there are those ones that are longer and far more difficult to not take (at the minimal) block damage, i.e. war machine sp1

This. Successful parry attempts should override any evade/miss action for Hood/Spiderman/Domino/Black Widow/etc...

You claim to use Hood but don't know it is only 45% chance to miss for contact attacks.

Better suggestion: when he misses, he disrupts the next attack so you can intercept.

Its not that big of a problem lmao, all of these champs are more defensive champs and really just shouldnt be used on attack, other then maybe domino but hers is quite unlikely to happen. In conclusion, get gud

All they need to do for the is make it so they don’t miss or evade on parry and they’re fine, and it wouldn’t change them as defenders

45% is actually pretty frequent when you're expecting to parry.

Hood with his staggers, power steal, stun immunity, regeneration, shock... he's an insane attacker.
