It's because it's apart of the Gifting Event, once the Timer ends you won't be able to Gift the Gold Crystal but you will be able to still buy them for yourself.

Yup, as mentioned above me, the timer shows how much time is left to be able to gift those items or receive them from gifting, but they will still stay in your inventory if you have them already.
