Solution to removed titles

Everytime there is a ban wave I see people upset about titles that were removed. This got me thinking, maybe everyone should be allowed to keep the titles that they earned even through unauthorized methods. Before you freak out over this idea, there would be an adjustment to their title.

They would keep the title earned instead of it being removed, however, there would be a notation next to it or maybe a line crossing it out to show it was earned but is no longer an active title.

This would be win/win. It allows the person to keep the title they "earned" but also let's everyone know they did something to have this no longer become an active title. This could be extremely useful to alliance recruiters who try and avoid players who use unauthorized methods to achieve results in the game.

Or people can just earn them legitimately. That way titles don't have to be taken and people don't have to complain about it being taken.

Keeping the Title defeats the purpose of the disciplinary action. Plus the fact that they haven't actually earned it, along with all the Rewards that come with the Title.

That would never happen. They won’t even tell an alliance which one of their members has cheated, for privacy reasons. There’s no way they’re going to hang scarlet letters on profiles.

That might be so, but privacy concerning actions has been a hard and fast rule as far as I can remember, so I don't see that changing.
