Synergies active with opponents in fight

How would summoners feel if synergies were activated while in a fight with opponent not just who is on your team? 0r if there were a new set of negative synergies that activated while fighting an opponent?

In other words the synergies are activated BY your opponent if you share any synergies with that opponent

Not sure what you're referring to. But if its for AW defense, that would be an absolute nightmare.
Imagine thing on the boss node, rank 3 6* with 200/200 signature level. Synergies being with hela, angela, heimdall, and champion.
As soon as you almost knock him out, he bumps back to 20% HP, on a high tier war that would be an absolute nightmare.

I would think nearly every defender would pack heimdall on their team and eat the diversity bonus for the additional deaths on defense.

Or a lot of other synergies that allow champions to start with 1 bar of power, or regen, or boosts to their already boosted attack, or evade, etc.

War is already borderline not worth the investment to rewards, this would just make it obsolete and no one would care about winning

Yes but it would only activate between the opponents. For example if massacre and domino fought in any mode in the game
While fighting their shared synergies become active. Not your whole team's synergies

I mean shouldnt it? If champions synergies are activated by being on a team or by being around each other wouldn't it make sense that if two opponents shared any synergies that those synergies become active even if they arent on your team?

I see what you're saying. But by putting thing on a boss node those shared synergies would only activate by having someone ON YOUR team that shares a synergy with THAT opponent. And there's no way to know what defenders are placed before you start or even if there were you dont think that would make it interesting? It wouldn't activate by having an champ on your team that shares a synergy with that opponent. But only if you chose that champ to face that opponent and only during that fight

But think about it for a second. What about heimdall, wouldn’t that make him literally the worst person to use in a fight? So many annoying fights would be created, like nick fury wouldn’t be useable against Deadpool, champion vs thing, and also defensively, heimdall would prevent you from dying.

Annihilus has this ability (contingency plans) as part of his synergies. From his Spotlight:

SYNERGY BONUSES
Developer Note: Annihilus trusts no one but himself, but he does ally with others every now and then. Each of Annihilus’ Synergies come with a Contingency Plan that provides him with a Unique effect that comes into play in that specific matchup.

CHALLENGER - UNIQUE SYNERGY
Hulk (Ragnarok) - While Face Me is active, Hulk gains a Passive Fury boosting attack damage by 12%.
Annihilus - Every time Annihilus’ Opponent activates a Fury effect, Annihilus gains an Armor Up Buff increasing Armor Rating by 8% for 4 seconds.
Contingency Plan - Whenever Hulk (Ragnarok) Strikes Annihilus with a SMASH attack, Annihilus gains 1 Fury Buff increasing Attack Rating by 100% for 4 seconds.

DOUBLE NEGATIVE - UNIQUE SYNERGY
Darkhawk - Attack Rating increased by 9% while in any mode.
Annihilus - Annihilus is Taunted for 0.5 seconds when Striking an Auto Blocking Opponent while the Cosmic Control Rod is active. While Taunted, his Attack Rating is reduced by 40%.
Contingency Plan - If Annihilus is fighting Darkhawk, Darkhawk's Armor Rating is decreased by 15% while in any mode.

I don't think we need to see every champ get these; but wouldn't mind seeing Contingency Plans used a bit more often.
