Should I use my awakening gem or wait?

I got 5* cull obsidian the other day and I’m not familiar playing with him. Is he worth using an awakening gem on? I also have 5* proxima I could use it on.

Cull is only good for damage I think and Proxima is awesome but the content she would shine at restricts her such as LOL and AOL, so I'd save it for someone like Hyperion

Try out Cull. If you like how he feels, you'll love him with his awakened ability..
I personally used my 5* awakening gem on Cull and he's been putting a lot of work for me since.

It’s not that either of those are bad by any means. However they don’t have the utility you’re going to need once you get past act 5. Then you’ll absolutely want a Medusa or Hyperion who can do much more than cull or proxima. I sat on 3 mutant awakening gems for 6 months and finally pulled AA, domino, and omega red within a week of each other. It’s worth the wait in the long game.
