Culls Fury

I have screenshots of me landing a Medium attack with Rout active for 16k+19k Rout damage for 35k total. I have a screenshot of another medium right after the Rout ended and it hits for 26k. Same armor break amount and Favors are still activated.

My signature level gives +3700 attack from the Fury which is +150% of my 2500 base. The post-Rout Fury should be hitting harder than the Rout but it hits much weaker. How does that work, is it a bug?

You have thanos favour buffs up which already boost your attack, due to this the fury, while being truly as potent as it says, doesn’t seem as potent. To simplify: your basic damage is 1000, you have a x2 boost making is 2000, then you get this 1.5x fury boost, rather than boosting it to 3000 it works additively, and it becomes 2.5k, you’re getting that 1.5 of the Base damage, but it isn’t 1.5x the modified damage of the initial boost, making it appear weaker

So the rout energy damage should be 120% of the final damage value and it is. Are you wondering why +120% of additional damage is more than +150% attack? Additional attack won’t necessarily translate 1:1 compared to damage. There’s other factors at play. Cull doesn’t have True Damage/Strike, so Armor and Resistances matter.

But isn't all damage based on attack points? Thanos Favors is a raw boost to attack, as is the Fury. My only guess, if not diminishing returns, is that maybe the boosts to attack are not getting calculated into critical damage.

It’s working fine, it’s not strictly diminishing returns, just that fury works off base attack, and thanos favour is already boosting that, making the attack appear less even though it’s working fine from your base attack

There aren’t diminishing returns for attack. The additional 3700 attack (assuming everything else is the same) is why he does 10k more damage in the 2nd picture. The rout bonus isn’t based on attack. It’s separate energy damage based on the damage done and if Hulk had mega energy resistance, it could be much less than 120% of the hit damage.
