Alliance War Matchmaking unfair [Merged Threads]

We are an alliance with 16million rating and average member rating of around 550k and ur matchmaking program paired us with an alliance with 32 million rating and average member rating of around 1.05 million rating...How do u expect us to go against these alliance?

    This is definitely a wrong macheup.
    How do we suppose to win in this condition.

    @Kabam Miike do u think it's fair to us to go against these guys and waste our resources...AW will become obsolete and alliances will stop playing AW wid such matchmaking..War rating should not be the only factor..ur program should also look at the alliance rating as well as prestige of the alliances

    Same happened with my alliance 22mil alliance vs 6mil alliance. Its usually a few mill either way not 16mil.

    Yeah thats my point...this matchmaking is ****....top alliances donot get paired wid alliances of their own level and alliances like us have to suffer...Also this inflated war rating is alliance's mistake or kabams' war rating screw up?...what do expect us to do @Kabam Miike

But this kind of matchup where the difference is around 15-16 million is absurd. Alliances taking advantage of this and tanking in war ruins the experience for new alliances and the community in general.

    @Worknprogress you are kind of proving our point that the matchmaking is a bit absurd in terms of relying solely on war rating.
    How do you expect an alliance half as strong as their opponent to even try to win these wars?
    Last season we got decent, comparable matches with the same war rating. It was fun playing against alliances that we knew are at the same level.
    This season, it's been a nightmare. One absurd strong match after another. Just makes AW so much less interesting.
    Something needs to change in the matchmaking algorithm to make sure a fair gameplay. Otherwise AW is simply gonna be dropped by alliances like ours that actually enjoy playing wars.

    Except the ones who have been taking advantage the last few seasons are actually the lower rates alliances. The only reason their war ratings are as high as they are is that they haven't been matching with other alliances with similar rating. So lower alliances that win regularly have been steadily moving up tiers while not matching against other alliances near them in those tiers. It's going to take a while before alliances ratings settle back down to where they really should be.

    For those of you that have been benefiting from this for a while, you're likely in for a bumpy ride for a bit unfortunately. While how matching was being done is far from any of those alliances fault, they've benefited from this for a while nowand have been punching above their weight, I guess it's time to see where you really settle at

    So who is to take responsibility for such mismatched war rating kabam or we alliances...We didn't inflated the war rating...it's kabam algorithms that caused such mismatch in first place

    War rating should be a factor but it should not be the only factor upon which matchmaking should be decided..At least alliance rating should be considered
    You missed the point. Manu, Liverpool, Spurs, Barcelona, Bayern; they compete for the BIG prizes. The tens of millions for even the team at the bottom of the league.

    The team 3 leagues below them, gets 100ths, 1000ths of the prize money.

    What's been happening, is that Crawley town FC could get the same rewards as Chelsea, without ever having to play them. That's wrong.

    We are silver 2, don't war seriously, so don't care. But what's been happening, with alliances like noname getting better prizes than NYC, is just wrong.

    Teams like yours should play in lower leagues, with lower prizes *unless* you can actually mix with the premier league.

    You should not be getting premier/major/champions league prizes without having to play a single team that plays in that league.

    It's so wrong that this has been happening and considering the spend from the top teams, I am so surprised it's not been a bigger fuss.

    What happens there is when you win your lower division you get promoted (higher war tier and higher multiplier in the game instance), you don't how ever keep playing the lower division teams while taking in Premier League money. You have to play the teams in the higher division, which is what it looks like is happening now
    The point is one war we get alliance around our rating and immediately next war we get alliance wid double our rating...How does that matchmaking works?...Surely it's broken..

    The alliance pairing is failing as we played against an alliance with 20 million power and we have 9.3 million power and I would like you to fix that and give us compensation because something similar has happened since the last three wars and it is not fair in a competitive game mode like Alliance Wars.     So did the matchmaking process change to bias more towards war rating versus prestige? Haven’t seen anything official.

    It's absolutely kabams fault. No one is blaming you. Unfortunately though, those that have been matching like this will probably have some lopsided matches for a while at least until ratings settle more to your actual strength level

    Same thing happened to us. I get that our war rating is higher than ours but a prestige difference of well over 2000 is huge. It's not our fault that we've fought people with similar prestige levels until now. I get that those things can be manipulated however so can war rating with people tanking which I have seen mention and complaints of here as well.     There's never anything official on matchmaking. But based off some of the lower strength alliances sitting in master all of a sudden matching with some of the other T1 alliances last war, it's pretty safe to say that's the case
