Genuinely why can't we have any free way to get
Doubloons? What justification is there for that. Like even if it's less then what you can spend and get why can't there be a free way to get them so other players can atleast get some of the rewards advertised here.

Maybe just add a tagline at the beginning, "Not for F2P players". It'll save the F2P players time and disappointment from reading about an in game message like this and then realizing this event isn't for us

I spend, but I disagree for other reasons. Although I didn't hit the Button. I always use my words. Lol.
There's always going to be something that's sold which is not available without spending. That's just part of having a game where F2P and spenders both play. People are always going to want what's only available for cash.

You buy a unit pack and get something free with it but they are giving the players that spend the option of choosing their extra..
It’s not what you would call an actual event..

I’m free to play and I don’t even care that we have to pay to progress even though this game is for ages 13+ but the fact that you pretty much rubbed it in our face saying you HAVE to buy this with real money is sickening. I have never seen a message like this in mcoc or maybe I have never noticed. There was really no need to add that in the message “these offers will not be available for Units”. Half of the good deals are never available to F2p anyways

That is missing the entire point of this post dude. It's about the fact it's an event store that's only usuable for Pay to Play players and just no way for free players to get it. It's very different the forth of july and and chrismas offers. Think of it as if back in January they introduced the acorns and the acorns store but then said "by the way they only can be bought."

This event is great! I can't wait to spend the money I don't have on what will likely be worthless dupes or trash new champs! Events centered around throwing away money really helps take my mind off my work being shutdown to Coronavirus and taking a pay cut! This is such a perfect time to launch a spending event when so many people are out of work! Man Kabam, you guys really knocked it out of the park! I especially like how you made it so there's no way to get doubloons without spending money! It's perfect for all your players who are out of work!

Seriously. Normally I defend Kabam on their cash offers that have been coming out since they are planned in advance and the company still needs to make money to pay their employees. I get that and I'm happy to continue buying the Monthly Unit Card to support Kabam because I love this game, but seeing this in my inbox today really left a sour taste in my mouth. Whoever is in charge of this stuff at Kabam really should think long and hard about doing something like this during times like these.

The part that really pisses me off is that if there wasn't the Coronavirus and lockdowns and wage loss, I'd jump on this event because this is exactly what I love to see when I spend money on the game! Units and items for one price. In all honesty, especially since I'm working on exploring Act 6, I would have bought at least all the Odin's and maybe the Black Panthers too that were available (assuming that it's the standard 3 limit, I would have happily dropped $450 or more depending on the items available), but because of everything going on, I just can't justify spending money that I don't have. I'm willing to bet that a lot of other people feel the same way as me.

Kabam, you really missed the mark on this. You should have delayed it another month or two.

No they wasn’t the deal came with a generic reward.. Whoever bought got the same reward.. This is basically the same system but you can choose what you want your extra reward to be.. If you spend it’s a nice addition more options of what you want.. If you don’t spend you miss out.. I haven’t bought anything for a few years now so Ill be missing out but not mad about it..

I'm sorry Mike but I disagree, I am a f2p and that is not why I am disagreeing with you, I am used to stuff like this but you got to think, I and many others can't go to school or work right now and can't make money do this event might not benefit us or kabam or even you, can you postpone the event till quarantine is over at least?

People do realize that they are a business and need to make money to keep going as well? It may seem like bad timing because times are financially difficult but Kabam has employees to pay to keep content coming out way too.

If it's not something that appeals to you or you simply can't afford it given the current crisis, don't purchase, it's not being forced on you.

Ps. Given the current state of things I won't be purchasing anything but I'm also not going to get upset that they are still trying to sell their product.

i don't disagree with you wanting this stuff without having to spend cash. i just wonder why more folks haven't discovered the joys of rewards programs on credit cards so guys like me can buy all these fun trinkets without actually having spent any actual cash.

A lot of people use the rewards programs to pay for their bills. Personally, my rewards go straight to either my car insurance and payments or to my tuition. Those programs are really great though, I love them

Kabam is a company with employees and costs, and the download of the game is free. This is one way the company can make money, if not the only way. I suppose they could make us watch ads every time we clicked something, but that would be annoying.

Without people buying offers, there would no no new champs, no new quests, and you'd have gone off to some other game by now, having done all of the stuff you can do in MCOC.

I have no problem with people who are FTP, but to complain about people who do spend is hilarious, because they're the ones supporting the growth of the game. Does this mean spenders get stuff you do not? Sure, but there has to be an enticement.

I am not opposed to more free stuff, of course.

To some up why exactly this is leaving a sour taste in my mouth I want to clarify the way I see it it's just like the Scrap Yard or Acorn events where you can get these little side rewards to gain access to a store to get extra rewards. But instead it's only obtainable through money. With no way to get them for free. I don't mind the fact they are doing offers. But to advertise this as an event when it's just practically an offer is stupid. The Christmas/4th of July sales aren't called Christmas or 4th of July events are they? And before you bring up the gifting event there's still free ways to gift people so these won't be accurate comparisons.

@Kabam Miike any way we can buy doubloons with units or other materials via sigil store (since you gave everyone a weeks worth of sigil), for people that are not receiving as much money during quarantine, and f2p players?
