New forums, new Character Wishlist thread

Just as a reminder, our rules:

Character requests are still a very frequent topic of conversation within our community, and with good reason - there are a ton of amazing Marvel characters in their universe.

The old Character wish list thread was ballooning a bit, and several characters requested in that thread have since been added to The Contest. We're starting up a new thread to house these discussions so that they can continue, but in a more up to date manner.

A few FAQ's:

1) Why haven't you added (X character) yet?!

A: there are so many characters we want to add, but simply haven't gotten to yet. A character's lack of presence in the Contest currently does not necessarily mean that we've overlooked them or that we don't already have them on our radar. Our teams have a finite amount of time in order to produce content, and we'd love to bang characters out quicker - but still need to maintain realistic developer cadences.

2) We need more female characters and more diversity.

A: Our own team is quite diverse itself, and we agree that representation is an important concern!

3) Why do you bother adding (X re-skinned character) when you've not even had a chance to add (x character not in The Contest)?

A: While some people are not a fan of character re-skins, MANY of our players are. The Marvel universe is one with a lengthy lore, and almost every beloved character has gone through some sort of costume change or shift at some point in their super-powered careers. These differences offer a good opportunity to re-introduce players to content they may not have managed to obtain the first time around, and allowing new players to pick up a certain champion while still keeping things a bit fresh. Our goal is to have a healthy balance between release types.

4) Can you confirm if a requested character is going to be released?

A: The short answer is no. We have specific timelines regarding when we can announce content, and that means that we can't pop in to say 'hey, that person is coming!'. For those wanting to keep on top of our latest announcements or teases, following our Twitter and Facebook accounts are your best shot. We also have an Instagram account that you should follow. So go forth, and suggest! We're not going to individually reply to the comments and suggestions that we see, but we are reading everything.

This should go without saying, but please discuss the characters you'd like to see without insulting each other or trying to discredit someone's opinion. Friendly debate is welcome, but the emphasis here is 'friendly' ; )

3 that come to mind for me are...

Onslaught: I’ve wanted him in game as long as I had wanted Doom. I just think he would be an absolute beast, but I guess we need prof x first. (Who I read is coming this year.

Killgrave: comic version slightly annoying, JJ series he was amazing. I just think he would bring a really unique fighting style to the game if Kabam did him right.

Legion: Another very unique character. I can’t even think of how they would approach him. He’s obviously over powered but he’s also internally tortured, I just don’t know how they would convey that to a fighting game.

Man, why isn't anybody requesting Infinity War Thor(with stormbreaker) and Endgame Captain America (with mjolnir ofc). Like it will be so cool to see our fav movie characters ultimate form.

okay, here me out.. i get some people are sick of more cap's/thors.. but.. these are the best versions of them from the MCU, and i really really really think they would be a sick addition to the game..
Stormbreaker Thor and Worthy (mjolnir) Cap.

Stormbreaker Thor:
sig ability - could have something to do with lightning charges, build up to deal big shock damage, something along those line, havent put too much though into it.
sp1 - animated just like from infinity war, where he hurl stormbreaker toward thanos when hes splitting the infinity beam, applies a stun as it strikes opponent with the hammer end.
sp2 - thor turns to the axe side and start slicing up the opponent, applying bleed damage, 2 small stacks and 1 larger stack lasting a shorter time. (not a fan of this special attack, do modify if you have a better idea, for this or any).
sp3 - animated like in infinity war again, on his entrance to wakanda, he charges up, jumps in the air and cracks down onto the opponent, applying a stun, and a shock.
heavy attack - hammer down to apply a short shock debuff or, axe up (uppercut) to apply short blead damage.

Worthy Cap:
sig ability - hammer strikes build up a worthy charge, the more charges, the higher shock damage from one of the specials? stack up to a max of 20 charges.
sp1 - endgame animation, cap hurls his shield to the opponent, it returns and he hits it back with the hammer, applying a small bleed debuff.
sp2 - endgame animation, again i know, but they are too good, cap hurls his shield past the opponent and hurls the hammer against it, stunning the opponent for a short time.
sp3 - cap launches the shield to the opponent pushing them back then he launches mjolnir toward the opponent, knocking them down, he then charges up and raises his hammer calling down a lightning strike onto the opponent, applying a shock debuff dealing x amount of damage, scaled with reference to sig ability.
heavy attack - spins the hammer and uppercuts with it, kinda like og thors animation. applies a short armor break debuff. havent put much thought into this heavy attack but feel free to suggest ideas.

mid way through writing caps i realised, why stormbreaker thor when you can have endgame thor with both hammers. so here's his pitch XD.

Endgame Thor:
sig ability - power gain of some sort? not too sure what to do, could just be one of those champs that doest rely on sig ability to be good tbh.
sp1 - does a 360 sort of animation, where with each turn he strikes with a hammer, starting with mjolnir, applying an armor break, then stormbreaker, applying a blead and last hit with mjolnir again knocking the opponent back down applying a stun.(could work for heavy attack too, without the debuffs?)
sp2 - thor hurls stormbreaker to the opponent, stabbing the opponent and getting stuck in them, and then he hurls mjolnir to stormbreaker applying the a huge bleed debuff. (dunno if this could class as an sp3 on its own, but was struggling to think of ideas for an sp2)
sp3 - endgame ish animation, the clouds roll in, map goes dark, thor raises both hammers to his side, summons lightning, screaming and slams both hammers into each other, pointed toward the opponent, chanelling the lightning toward them. applying a longer stun debuff.
heavy attack - could be something like a hammer clap applying a really short stun to the opponent or armor break?

theres my pitch anyway, hopefully someone at kabam sees this and thinks its cool and takes it up lmao

So i thought this would be a cool champ idea. So if you haven't heard there was a deleted scene where Doctor Strange in Infinity War wears Iron Mans armor and the cloak of levitation goes around Tony. I think this would be a cool idea and i could see these guys as champs in Kabams new game as well. Im gonna post what i think there abilities could be later today.
