Prestige or any useful

I recently played tier 4 rifts and luckily got 5* feature crystal.And format hat crystal I got this champions.Is he any useful or just a prestige cause he is definitely going to rank 5.

Alot of top Allys work on prestige so you'll see alot of 6* R3s Silver Surfer. The way the game has always been towards the top

Imo ranking a champ only for prestige is a waste of resources. Plus as that guy says, top prestige whales will have him and other champ like doom or sunspot as r3 6*. So taking 5* to r5 probably won't make big difference for you.
