Anyone else notice?

I just got a 5* hero that I maxed out. As a result, I got a crystal for 6* shards and a chance at a 6* iron fist. Is this new?

It is fairly old now.
It's called a max Sig crystal. After you max Sig any rarity of champ except 1 and 6*'s, you'll get a max Sig crystal at a chance at Sig stones, awakening gems, more shards and an Immortal Iron Fist
