How does this mastery work?

I was gold grinding and I realised that this mastery was available but I’m unsure on how it works, does it double all the gold you get or give you 1 extra gold for all the rewards you get. Like if I were to gain 20000 gold from a reward would I get 40000 or 20001 gold?
