Welcome to the Island of Doctor M.O.D.O.K.

Ever since M.O.D.O.K. established his Hotel, he’s been working tirelessly on his experimental Champions. But the Hotel is no place for his creations to live, so he’s been sending them off to a secret secluded island to run free.

Now the time has come for M.O.D.O.K. to harvest the fruits of his labor, and it’s up to the Summoner to drop in and collect some samples for M.O.D.O.K. to study!

Collect Samples and get Gold Coins!

Every day, you’ll receive a Sample Collector from a Special Log In Calendar and use them to enter Island of Doctor M.O.D.O.K. Quests! Choose one of 6 class related paths, each with 6 fights (plus the Boss). Complete the Quest, to earn Crystal Shards, Gold, and special Gold Coins that can be spent in the M.O.D.O.K. Hotel Store!

These Quests feature no energy costs, and you can use multiple Sample Collectors to enter it as many times as you want, though you only get one per day. This means that you can do all Quests for the month in one day, as long as you log in and collect the Sample Collector every day.

Like past “Lab” events, each of the fights will draw a pool of 1-3 randomized buffs (based on the difficulty). You can use a Buff Randomizer item (available in the store) to change the set of Buffs. If there is a particular Buff that you think could be trouble, you can use a brand new Buff Deleter to remove it. Don’t be too hasty to remove a Buff though! Buff Deleters can only be purchased for Gold Coins in the M.O.D.O.K. Hotel Store.

Remember to update to version 27.2 before 4 pm PT on June 2nd to ensure you do not miss out on the first day of the Sample Collector Calendar!

Rewards

For each Quest completion, you will earn:

Class Use Solo Events

Doctor M.O.D.O.K. challenges you to use certain classes on certain days. Win fights with a specific Champion of the day to earn bonus points, and earn even more points by using the class of the day in the Island of Doctor M.O.D.O.K. quests! There won’t be any Rank Rewards, but you’ll earn more Gold Coins to spend in the Hotel M.O.D.O.K. Store by completing the Milestones!

M.O.D.O.K. needs his beauty sleep and will not provide a Class Use event on Sundays.

M.O.D.O.K. Contracts

13 Special Objectives will appear at random times throughout the month! Complete these “Contracts” by finding and defeating the Champions listed on the Special Objective, and collect even more Gold Coins as a reward. These could appear at any time, so keep an eye on your Special Objectives!

Hotel M.O.D.O.K. Store

Similar to the Squirrel Store, you’ll be able to select the rewards you would like to purchase. However, this time, you will not be able to purchase everything in the Store! There will be 3024 Gold Coins available throughout the event (completing Epic Difficulty of the Island of Doctor M.O.D.O.K. every time, and the Veteran Solo Events), so choose wisely!

Remember! This event starts on June 3rd! Make sure you update to version 27.1 before 4 pm PT on June 2ndto ensure you do not miss out on the first day of the Sample Collector Calendar!

I will say the rewards are definitely very underwhelming especially at a time where Kabam has stated they are listening to us. At this point I really don't even know how to react anymore. I loved this game have spent a lot but I feel like no one is listening at all right now. I know the offers are done ahead of time but if you know there is a pandemic and money is tight why not look at them and re-evaluate before having them sent out. I guess I'm really confused by the thought process lately. It almost feels like MCOC is an afterthought.

Also we should adress that not only are these some of e worst rewards we have ever seen in an event... EVER but modok’s lab is also one of the most infamously difficult and B.S. side events of all time in this game

I know people are focused on the rewards and honestly for the difficulty level of the event, it’s probably right. However, I feel like players that are and have been cavalier have been left behind on the monthly events for a long time.

I am okay with, and invite, harder difficulty content to get rewards that are valuable to me. The best rewards being centered around 5* don’t help me at all. Even if the top reward was a generic 5* AG, it wouldn’t help me at all. There is a entire part of your community who is only able to progress right now if they buy “deals”, which have been terrible as of late. I would say these are two big points of frustration amongst the community.

Please please please give us a cavalier difficulty. Please please please give us rewards that reflect that difficulty.

Exactly. If you look at it, all rewards outside of “forever content” are lackluster for cavalier players. For some reason this is something they just haven't taken time to look at over the years. Daily solo events, 3 day alliance events, Summoner Advancement, EQ, side events are all living in 2017/2018.

Why if my alliance is getting 1.5M in SA am I getting 4* shards as a reward? What is that doing for the any of the accounts who are reaching that tier in SA?

Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t kabam say it would be released in the second half of 2020? Wether that’s 1 month or 6 months away it’s still impending.

Agreed, next month will be 2 years since any changes to SA and it was probably already out of date back then.

So the best reward here is a 5 star awakening gem, why do you not have additional 5 and 6 star shards available because I'm sure most of us will probably save up for that

The labs were amazing back when small amounts of t5 basics and t2 alphas were very valuable. Not so much now. At least its only one path this time. Add more sig stones and make them generic. Add some champion shards.

Kabam, please please please make the game FUN. This event is like a revamp of something old and boring. The reward does not help in the progression of (the least) my account. Now is the time for many, who are lockdown at home and online games are taking this opportunity to attract new players and I feel Kabam is doing the opposite. Whatever is happening in Kabam, it is not good. Think "FUN" every time you guys create an event, not boring or stale.Cmon.... do it before you lose more client base/players.

Hey everybody,

Nothing to say right now, but I've raised this with the team. This is an event that is live tomorrow, so I'm not sure what is possible/if anything is possible.
It feels like we go through this every month. With the exception of the Squirrel Store I cant remember the last time the side quests offered rewards that match what players need to move forward with the game.

Why don’t you at least share this kind of thing with the CCP so they can give feedback. Over the past 3 weeks we’ve posted 80 pages of comments on the feedback thread and no one at Kabam has connected the dots between the feedback there and the rewards on offer here. You have had 3 weeks to take on board what’s been said about rewards and availability of items such as sig stones. And the decision makers at Kabam have decided to ignore all of that and continue with 2018 rewards. It doesn’t give much hope for the road map when it drops this month.
sad that alot of "ccp" and forums gave alot of feedback of what the playerbase wants and needs to be changed, you gave us a roadmap....but where was the roadmap for this months events? this is so 2018 rewards...

the last modok event was better and that ALONG time ago, we are now midway through 2020....and another july 4th is coming.

The last Labs event (Sinister Labs in August 2019) was not nearly as rewarding. If you explored both paths in Epic every day, you would earn:

1120 6-Star Shards
4200 Tier 5 Basic Catalyst Fragments
9800 5-Star Shards
42 000 Gold

The rewards here are more in line with the rest of the Events we've had this year, save for last month because of the nature of Rifts. I understand the request for Rewards that are better suited to Cavalier players and we're still talking about it, but let's not spread untrue information.
