Welcome to the Island of Doctor M.O.D.O.K.

Ever since M.O.D.O.K. established his Hotel, he’s been working tirelessly on his experimental Champions. But the Hotel is no place for his creations to live, so he’s been sending them off to a secret secluded island to run free.

Now the time has come for M.O.D.O.K. to harvest the fruits of his labor, and it’s up to the Summoner to drop in and collect some samples for M.O.D.O.K. to study!

Collect Samples and get Gold Coins!

Every day, you’ll receive a Sample Collector from a Special Log In Calendar and use them to enter Island of Doctor M.O.D.O.K. Quests! Choose one of 6 class related paths, each with 6 fights (plus the Boss). Complete the Quest, to earn Crystal Shards, Gold, and special Gold Coins that can be spent in the M.O.D.O.K. Hotel Store!

These Quests feature no energy costs, and you can use multiple Sample Collectors to enter it as many times as you want, though you only get one per day. This means that you can do all Quests for the month in one day, as long as you log in and collect the Sample Collector every day.

Like past “Lab” events, each of the fights will draw a pool of 1-3 randomized buffs (based on the difficulty). You can use a Buff Randomizer item (available in the store) to change the set of Buffs. If there is a particular Buff that you think could be trouble, you can use a brand new Buff Deleter to remove it. Don’t be too hasty to remove a Buff though! Buff Deleters can only be purchased for Gold Coins in the M.O.D.O.K. Hotel Store.

Remember to update to version 27.2 before 4 pm PT on June 2nd to ensure you do not miss out on the first day of the Sample Collector Calendar!

Rewards

For each Quest completion, you will earn:

Class Use Solo Events

Doctor M.O.D.O.K. challenges you to use certain classes on certain days. Win fights with a specific Champion of the day to earn bonus points, and earn even more points by using the class of the day in the Island of Doctor M.O.D.O.K. quests! There won’t be any Rank Rewards, but you’ll earn more Gold Coins to spend in the Hotel M.O.D.O.K. Store by completing the Milestones!

M.O.D.O.K. needs his beauty sleep and will not provide a Class Use event on Sundays.

M.O.D.O.K. Contracts

13 Special Objectives will appear at random times throughout the month! Complete these “Contracts” by finding and defeating the Champions listed on the Special Objective, and collect even more Gold Coins as a reward. These could appear at any time, so keep an eye on your Special Objectives!

Hotel M.O.D.O.K. Store

Similar to the Squirrel Store, you’ll be able to select the rewards you would like to purchase. However, this time, you will not be able to purchase everything in the Store! There will be 3024 Gold Coins available throughout the event (completing Epic Difficulty of the Island of Doctor M.O.D.O.K. every time, and the Veteran Solo Events), so choose wisely!

Remember! This event starts on June 3rd! Make sure you update to version 27.1 before 4 pm PT on June 2ndto ensure you do not miss out on the first day of the Sample Collector Calendar!

Why don’t you at least share this kind of thing with the CCP so they can give feedback. Over the past 3 weeks we’ve posted 80 pages of comments on the feedback thread and no one at Kabam has connected the dots between the feedback there and the rewards on offer here. You have had 3 weeks to take on board what’s been said about rewards and availability of items such as sig stones. And the decision makers at Kabam have decided to ignore all of that and continue with 2018 rewards. It doesn’t give much hope for the road map when it drops this month.

The last Labs event (Sinister Labs in August 2019) was not nearly as rewarding. If you explored both paths in Epic every day, you would earn:

1120 6-Star Shards
4200 Tier 5 Basic Catalyst Fragments
9800 5-Star Shards
42 000 Gold

The rewards here are more in line with the rest of the Events we've had this year, save for last month because of the nature of Rifts. I understand the request for Rewards that are better suited to Cavalier players and we're still talking about it, but let's not spread untrue information.

I appreciate your efforts of talking to your team about this and hopefully you can figure out a solution to rewards before the event goes live tomorrow. May I suggest increasing the amount of 5* sig stones and adding 5 and 6 star shards in the shop?

If Kabam can alter before, when players can farm revive in an event over and over again within 24hrs, SURELY if Kabam wants to alter the rewards on this within 24hrs shouldnt post an issue.

2 years ago, we had this... (from M.O.D.O.K.’S LAB GRAND RE-OPENING)

You could do these 3x a day.

So, total for master + heroic for 5* is 600 (200 * 3) + 150 (50 * 3) for a total of 750. Then we multiple that by 28 days for a grand total of 21000 5* shards.

Here, we get a whole 14000 5* shards (epic) + 4200 (heroic) for a grand total of 18200 5* shards.

So, that is LESS than what we got 2 years ago for 5* shards.

I don't get why when the squirrel girl event was happening, you could get crystal shards in the acorn shop, but now in this event, you can't get crystal shards in the gold coins shop. It really drains the excitement out of this event. Also, the sig stones being offered are honestly laughable. Why have sig stones become so rare?

What about 5* sig stones? What happened to them? MODOK labs in 2017 had them every day. That was 3 years ago!

In addition, those versions of MODOKs Labs happened 3 TIMES a day. That is 3 5 star sig stones crystals a day over around 30 days, which is 90 5* sig stone crystals in 2017!! We are in 2020!! This is beyond laughable.

There are a couple of things wrong with this statement #1 the rewards aren’t nearly as much as we got for things such as barons war, mole man expeditions, and squirrel girl store so it is a bit lacking behind some things this year #2 difficulty, modok’s labs are notoriously one of the most difficult side events of all time so people expect a premium in rewards for them which is why people are rather upset about the rewards for this side quest

And we are now in June 2020, rewards should be way better than aug 2019....where we had content like all of act 6 and abyss.

Yet you are quoting rewards from Sinister Labs in 2019 vs now.... u do know its called progression, that what we want.

especially cavalier? the cavalier rewards for this months is lacking, why isnt there choice to buy more sig stones or more 5,6* shards?

did i forget something or did rest of mcoc community has been asking for more updated reward structure for monthly eq,arena and even solo objectives.

The fact that you guys had to CHANGE act 6 100% rewards and now changing abyss 100% rewards, just goes to show how out of line and how out of date the game is.

Im sure u guys know all the backlash on current state of the game, but we are waiting for a response.

People are not happy right now and things really do need change. The rewards this months speaks on all kinds of levels of how underwhelming it is, and i know i am not the only one.

You guys can do better, you guys should do better.

My guess is people were complaining about rewards in that thread as well, so you might not want to use that as a comparison. Not to mention that was 10 months ago, so rewards should be better.

Events like these are actually insulting for Cavalier players. The rewards for the effort put in is complete trash. Unless there is some magical revive late into the event (like the free 7 red rifts we got yesterday) I can't see myself wasting time on this.

Hmmmm 20 sig stone crystals.... so about 4 sig stones (if I get lucky) of the class I want. That's interesting, seems like I will have to grind side events for over 4 years if I want to sig 200 a champion lol. Prestige has moved on to 6 stars and 5 star sig stones are still hidden behind a pay wall. Seems like everyone is super happy about how good these rewards are, Kabam takes another W in a month full on W's for the company. Congrats boys!

How would you guys feel about extra sample collectors for the labs? Maybe through the mail or something. They don’t require energy so it wouldn’t hurt us there and it would be a solution kabam can get done before labs go live tomorrow. It would also help the 5 and 6* shard problems with this event at its base and let us buy more in the gift shop

About where I'm at. Been holding out hope for improvements for months. If July is a bomb also I'm out, the game has lost enjoyment.
