That is only one month, but is multiple hours of playing a day for an entire month. Adding shards for AW and Incursions would certainly boost that number of shards, but would add to the daily play time as well. Getting four-five chances to have a reasonable chance to get a champ I am striving for with a month or two of work (even then not guaranteed unless the rng is 100%) is not game breaking IMO.
A good feature crystal is not the only way to fix the problem of champion acquisition. I hope Kabam does at least something to help reduce this frustration with the average player because we may end shards much faster than in the past, there are so many bad champs one can get compared to where there was back then.
Forcing them is not what it was. They passed new guidelines, and Kabam complied. Before that, they weren't required to, and had every right to keep it to themselves had they chose to. They could have chosen to after, but that would have strained their relationship with Apple.
I disagree with the idea that they were forced into it. They weren't required to just because people wanted to know and called them out with every bad pull they got.
I don't think you understand how app store works. Apple owns the app store. Every update any app makes has to go through Apple's approval process and if they don't approve , the app will not be available in the store. So, when they say, we want you to reveal drop rates and Kabam disagrees, the game will be deleted from app store. There is no negotiation. So, in the end, they were forced into it. It was not just Kabam or mcoc, every game had to reveal the drop rates, so saying people got bad pulls and made apple change the rules is comical
The point was that 20% is too high for a specific Champ. It undermines the entire system, especially with the amount of Shards available now. Perhaps there could be some kind of a change to the Featured Crystal, but I'm not sure that's going to help much. It just encourages more selectiveness, and it's already past the point of leaving people discontent with everything else. For me, the solution is designing more content for the Champs people keep brushing off.
I can see clearly that you have a vast experience with ios app store releases and app management. I am but a junior, and have barely worked on and released a dozen apps for various clients. But one thing is certain. When apple comes with a new set of policies you either implement / adhere to them, or you app will not be approved for release.

Easy as that. This is a fact. I don't need to tell you the difference between facts and presumptions/suppositions, do I ? Well... based on your comment history I guess I do. Fact is something irrefutable. Facts are the vast majority of comments on this thread. Can you guess who is the king of presumptions/suppositions ? I give you a hint. It's the guy that thinks that by stating something, that makes it automatically true, and as that wouldn't be bad enough, he tries to forcibly convince people of that.
On a side note:
I am sorry, but I am tired of you showing up with random opinions and defending Kabam regardless of the subject. My tone is rather aggressive, and not based on your incorrect comment, but because you constantly do this and it's not clear to me how you can think you have any credibility left. You either love posting, just for fun, to have something said, or you are really that frustrated in real life, that you think that the only way to get validation is though contradictory discussions with other fellow-summoners.
I follow the forums, especially at this time, and every 3 or 4 post you come up with a reply, that is neither constructive, nor insightful. I get that everyone has the right to speak up, but why do you try so hard to defend Kabam on a thread that wants to point out ways they can improve ? What could you possibly gain ? Who can possibly benefit from your babble ? The vast majority of comments on this thread are not only pertinent and true, but moreover, they have been voiced on countless occasions, and no one listened. (at this point in time, it gives me more pleasure reading the forums, and seeing that the vast majority of summoners come together in one purpose, to make the game better, than actually playing the game). Do us all a favour and start a new thread in which you describe how perfect and awesome Kabam have been. Doing this, you wont need to combat every other comment, and most of all, we can carry on without your constant "corrections".
People have given up. A lot of people has lost enthusiasm for the game. I completely understand why the roadmap is taking so long. A pandemic and restructuring the entire future of the game can’t be done overnight.
But we’ve needed to see more regular communication. Kabam should have been holding the community’s hand through this. Instead it’s been an impenetrable wall once again.
The fact that we’re seeing Content creators, one in the CCP, quitting and others taking a large step back says it all. If people who loved this game enough to make consistent content for it are giving up, I can only imagine how semi serious players are feeling.
I myself am only hanging around for the roadmap. If I don’t like it, I’m gone. But the issue is that so many others are there are well.
It’s no longer about stopping people stepping back from the game. It’s about bringing people back who have already stepped back. If that makes any sense.
That’s my thoughts anyway.
I get your point about targeting champion and how to look at solution 2 from another perspective.
But my point is if they don't want to enhance the rng to be better for the players then don't design content that requires one or two champs specific to beat it like the 6.2 sinister fight which iam stack at it right now.
These types of fight makes the game not enjoyably and makes 5 year player like me wanting to quit.
I m not saying it's not a too restrictive fight, as I've said multiple times I think it is, bc very few of the options especially solo options have any shot at soloing it or even getting it down in 2 or 3 revives, but there are more options than people like to admit
Thats the thing lol I don’t have any 5* or 6* version of the champs you listed and I won’t rank up my 6* undupped kamal khan or my 5 * ultron just for that fight.
If they were valuable in the champion fight (which is hatder) I would rank them
And even I got past the sinister boss I don’t have a single counter for the champion other than she hulk which is good assuming i will do completion only because that no retreat node is out of the game.
I don't even blame you really but was just making a point that a lot of times when people say they have no options for something it's usually just none they want to use which is quite different.
Yeah you are right about that one but that the thing, before act 5 I didn’t have to “wait”
Because almost all of my champion were useful and can be used in a lot of fights.
Act 6 however, has completely revamped everything I loved about this game.
Yeah you are right that ultron and kamala can do that fight BUT where is the fun in that?
Why I had more fun playing as 3*loki against ultron 5.4.6?
Why can’t I have the same amount of fun in sinister or champion fight?
Have you realized how the game has dramatically changed in the past 2 years?
It’s really sad what happened to this interactive and fun game with fun mechanics.
I myself scared about the road map but will I regret the time I invested in mcoc ( I used the word invest instead of waste) Because I USED TO LOVED this game.
But iam not WASTING my time if the roadmap wasn’t as promising as it should be.
