This is the sequel to my other post'The Journey' https://forums.playcontestofchampions.com/en/discussion/198815/the-journey#latest
That was when I completed act 6.But what is the next big thing after act 6?Abyss of legends.
The team that I brought was 5*Aegon,5* Dr Voodoo(R4),5*CapIW(R4),5*Human Torch(R4) and 4* Dr Doom.I was very skeptical that I would be able to complete AOL with a 4* Doom so I brought CapIW as backup for some fights.I went into the abyss with 4.5K units and took the easy path.Thing fight was relatively easy and a good ramp up for Aegon. One fight I was worried about was the medusa, I used about 6 revives for it 1 being for CapIW whom took down 13% of her health and I used Doom for the rest. Gotta say,Doom is still extremely good in the abyss even as a 4*.I used 4 revives on the Mephisto fight,I used Torch and the first attempt took down about 50% of his health with pre fight ability.I took down the Cap Marvel fight with ease using Doom, ever since they fixed the bug allowing me to deal the tons of energy damage and she went down with 1 revive. And now the IMIW fight, at first I thought it wouldn't be a problem, and it wasn't...until the final 15%.He was gaining so much power I had to continuous dodge his SP1 and there was very limited openings.I eventually took him down with 14 revives. For the mordo fight,I used Human Torch and it worked in my favour but was still a bit troublesome causing me 8 revives. For the VTD fight,I used Voodoo and I quite enjoyed that fight, I was able to nullify his buffs and stack up to 30 spirit venom at a time dealing 2K per tick and used about 5 revives there.I only used Mystic Dispersion lvl 1 to be able to gain back just enough power to throw another SP1. For the Hyperion fight, I used Doom again and it worked well and each fight I was able to deal about 15% of his health and only using 7 revives.I could swear that my incinerates where dealing a lot less damage probably due to his high energy resistance. For The Champion fight, I used Doom and it worked very well but I also tried to use CapIW once and The Champion just regenerated a lot via his Sp1 about 13K per tick and I ended up aborting the fight.Took me about 8 revives. Now for the despicable Cyclops fight, I used more revives here than in the IMIW fight .This fight relies heavily on being able to parry his specials.I would say this fight not entirely a stupid fight and I quite enjoyed it. Now for the Invisible Women fight, this was where my unit stash was getting low. She was annoying to fight using Aegon but managed to take her down in about 6 revives. For the Cull Obsidian, it was a flawless fight. I used Dr Voodoo and took him down without reviving. Then I am met with the Collector.
I did what I could against him and took him down to 50% before running out of revives. This was when I was feeling a bit stress. I had to grind arenas a bit and over the course of 2 days , I finally got him down with about 22 revives.
The things I would have done differently with hindsight is to remove CapIW from the team.He was not needed but was there only because I was afraid Doom couldn't do it but was proven wrong.I would also DEFINITELY bring more than 4.5K units to the abyss.
This was by far one of my greatest feat.
I finally get to get my hands on the abyss title, I am thankful to have Aegon on the team and wouldn't be able to do this without him.
Now for the openings.
I was a bit salty when I got Cosmic, it was in between TWO skills gems.It would be so funny to get my Aegon awakened after getting him.
Now that tier 5 class catalyst was an absolute game changer. It was the most ideal one.
And yes I did rank 3 her.
Ironically the abyss quest was the one I did to get this daily task completed.
So now I am officially semi-retired.
