Day 2 - Star Lord, isn't talked about much at all any more, but is it deserved?

The reason I think he's perfectly rated is because he is still a very much useable champion. The reason he isn't really talked about any more is because he's no longer "the best" at anything, aegon took his spot as the king of LOL/AOL. However I still believe he is still very good, just not the best, and I think that a lot of people would agree.

He’s still got great damage and that will be useful in a lot of content, but he lacks any sort of reliable utility to make him useful in difficult content like Act 6 or even variants. AEgon’s introduction pretty much made Star Lord redundant as anything Star Lord can do, AEgon can do better

In 2020, SL shouldn't be considered god tier anymore, high demigod tops. Utility weighs a lot more now.

I can definitely understand anyone who says he is overrated, at the end of the day he can't do much other than big crits, but I can also slightly get why some people might say he is underrated, because they are BIG crits.

I think with Star Lord you could come up with a pretty decent argument for all the options

It means who is rating them? Under or over-rated can only be declared if you are judging the opinion of another person or group of people. Now you might say "in the community" but we don't have that kind of sources that polls the whole community on champion usage. So, everyone answering these polls are answering using their narrow experience of either some of their alliance mate or a certain youtuber.

Unless Kabam releases data on champion usage, no one can say anything worthwhile on this topic.

But it's quite easy to get an idea of what the community thinks from how much a champion is talked about, and what is said; YouTubers whos tier lists have thousands of likes; alliance mates; forum polls.

I'm not very good at explaining myself sorry.

Am I the only one who think that we never gonna know his full potential due to damage cap in LOL . Just want to see the numbers on 400th hit sp2 with max Sig . Anyone else?

I think he is perfectly rated based on the current meta but I still have nothing but respect for him. He 100% variant 3 for me at rank 4 and he very much usable in some situations. If he can carry at least 100hits like gullie and have a pre-fight where he can select his sp2 elemental effects he will definitely be beyond god-tier.

SL is perfectly fine. No one claims he's trash, and no one says that he's better than aegon

There are too many crazy nodes that can't simply be outdamaged anymore. SL starts every fight from scratch, the big numbers is only at high combo meter and high sig levels. I understand people are nostalgic, but nobody would use SL today.
