no. blade is not over rated. I should have put he's rated perfectly fine exactly where he is. I think, now, in terms of the meta he has lost some of his spice, and thus now needs his signature ability to be considered top in class with Aegon, and Nick Fury. a Year ago, it wasn't even close. and even if you compare blade to Nick Fury and Aegon right now, there's spots where I'll take Blade over both of them easily. Aegon is truly a long fight specialist. And NF is a high risk champion. Blade is a safe bet in comparable matchups. So yeah, he's right there.
I notice that whenever I regenerate him, the enemy becomes ultra aggressive, attacking into my block / regen. Any advice on how to avoid this?
No he is not underrated. He is a good champ. Just not top 3 skill champ anymore. He is good but no longer the best at what he does.Regen-there are now betterBleed- there are now better Mystic killer- there are now betterHe is still a good option but not the best option anymore which is why he has fallen out of favor and not talked about as much. I would argue that he still has the best regen in the game. He literally has the most convenient and easy-to-use regen in the game. Just go back and hold block and he'll start regenerating and it isn't a problem because you gain so much power from the bleeds on the opponent. He's a literal living health potion. Who do you think has better regen? The potion store. Jokes aside, though, probably guillotine 2099 in longer fights. Maybe even morningstar. It's probably a matter of preference, but if I think about my own current experience with act 6 exploration I don't see blocking as much of a viable strategy. Can he outregen the block damage there? Then he's probably the best.

Full disclaimer: Guillotine 2099 is one of my two most favorite champions in the game (the other being Domino) and I have her in every star category from 2 to 6 and all are maxed! She is also solidly better than Blade overall in the current state of the game. But when it comes to regenerating health, she's not even in the same category. Blade regenerates way better. Watch this showcase by KT1 below. The video also shows some of the things I mentioned to you when we discussed relative merits of NT and Blade a while ago. https://youtu.be/W1yo_Ksq4oY I only had time to watch about half the video right now, but that's not impressive at all lol.I mean come on. That footlose lane with blade. Come one. He's literally making blade out to be a niche albeit non perfect counter to this, while this could genuinely be done with any champ lol. Parrying and waiting out the evade/unstoppable isn't exclusive to him.The juggernaut fight was also really embarassing. The aar stopped almost nothing lol.So yeah. Not convinced.

You are not approaching it with an open mind at all. KT1 by the way shares your opinion of NT and ranks him higher than Blade but he was able to present an objective evaluation if Blade. I specifically replied to your comment about Blade's regenerating capabilities. Your own words: "Can he outregen the block damage there? Then he's probably the best." The video by KT1 demonstrates exactly that. And now instead of admitting it you are shifting the topic by commenting on his limited AAR against Juggernaut. The point is not AAR always stops Jug's unstoppable but the fact that Blade finishes the fight with 70% easily and then goes on to do the same in the next fight and in the next fight, and so on. Did you miss how he used Blade against Electro and HT on thorns node? Name another champion who can outregen that kind of damage. Okay first of all as I said I only watched about half the video. What I saw there had nothing to do with outregening the block damage. He barely took any blocked hits outside of parries, simply because kt1 is very very skilled.Second of all, again, I only watched half the video, so I didn't see that lol. I'll certainly watch it fully later today, though. So I'll definitely give a more founded and deep reply then, no worries. As to your request. Honestly? I'd simply use someone who can just bypass the damage instead of using someone with regeneration. There are many champs that can bypass thorns mechanics. In fact, I know you won't like to hear that, I really like to use thrasher on thorns nodes. His disorient plus a parry-heavy playstyle (with 3/3 pacify of course) gives him enough daar to deal with that without needing any regen.I never really saw much of a point in regen anyways.

I'll gladly give credit where credit is due.I wish you could've watched the whole thing with an impartial attitude before jumping into commenting on it with a dismissive tone. I mean, I already know how blade works. Seeing the video open with stuff like trying to show blade's value against a node like footlose or seeing how unreliable his aar actually is against a tenacity juggernaut did not really get me into an impartial mood considering how that was apparently supposed to showcase his value lol.As to NT vs thorns nodes, with pacify you can easily play him in a way that you have a whopping 80% daar during all your attacks. Such a matchup is also a great way of showcasing his sp3. The 75% increase in debuff duration would even help to handle an additional limber node on top of the thorns. Stun immunity would be bad for him, but then again I would probably use someone who actually bypasses thorns over either of them anyways, so there's that.Generally though not/rarely getting thorns damage > being able to regen the thorns damage, but that's just me.I don't have both at a comparable rank. Maybe as 4* champs. I'll take a look, maybe rank the 4* versions and then I'll compare them directly. And please don't simply imply that I'm biased. My view of NT being superior to blade is purely based on what they're capable of on paper. Personal attachment isn't a factor.

@UmbertoDelRio, still a lot of theorycrafting and hypotheticals from you but little to no substance. Looking forward to your actual showcase. Having said that, I understand that we all have lives. If you do, great. If you don't have time or the desire, no big deal. I'll definitely tag you, I just don't want to keep you waiting an undefined amount of time lol.All I did so far was sharing some unedited gameplay footage on reddit, so I can't say when I can get around to such a project and how long it would take me to do it. Most likely sometime next month, since I'm close to moving as well as studying for exams currently. This being about a redundant online argument however will probably motivate me to do it sooner rather than later lol.
