Namor or Colossus? Who is better? Seeking endgame players opinions

I personally prefer colossus, and think that he preforms better in most situations, but I know lots of people think namor is better.
please vote and leave a comment explaining why.

I’m going to tentatively say Colossus. I’ve had mine at R5 for a while but I’m not sold yet. I think the sticking point for me is that while Colossus is probably the better champion, as my vote indicates, I think a roster can easily survive without him

Namor on the other hand is one of those champs like Void that every account should really have. He can bypass a lot. For anyone below Act 6, Colossus is clearly superior. But someone who has a lot of 5/65’s that cover a lot of ground, Namor might be more valuable. He might be niche, but that’s really the rank ups you’re looking for at that point

Of course, I say this as someone who doesn’t have a Namor. And I’ve survived without him. Probably because I have Omega who can sort of do what he does. Not as well but he can handle it

Namors utility is very niche and can be circumvented with proper counters. I find it hard to recommend him above most of the top mutants

Namor has one of the best signature abilities in the game. Colossus doesn’t come near namor’s abilities.
He is probably by far the best havok counter due to his armor break immunity and he has a unique set of immunities in general, with bleed, incinerate, coldsnap and armor break.

Namor's sig ability is ridiculously niche. There's hardly anything he can do that no one else can do. There are some things he can ignore while one needs to play around them with other champs, but he isn't nessecary for anything.

He would be strict bench material, if I ever pulled him. My colossus on the other hand already put in a lot of work in my current act 6 exploration and he's only a 4/55.

There’s many champs that do what Colossus does, but no champ puts DOT back on the defender...and it’s not niche...anyone that says he is niche doesn’t use him properly. Except a simple limber or stun immune stops colossus massively.

Parry heavy with colossus keeps the hit count down in fights but ups the block damage. It’s actually faster and more efficient to play by cycling sp2 as fast as possible, ideally with the Emma synergy. Also you can use his sp3 effect in stun immune situations to create openings if you aren’t a capable interceptor.

I’m sure namor has some awesome utility but its expensive to realise his full potential. When sig stones for most people are hard to come by they could instead take AA, colossus, sunspot or whoever to decent sig level with those 200 stones and put them to use in an incredibly broad range of matchups.

Colossus and it's not even close. This comes back to a lot o comparisons where players for some reason pick champions who are extremely good at niche situations over a champion who is quite versatile and covers way more than the other. Colossus out of the two is much more versatile and suitable for many situations.

I have both as maxed 5* (5/65, Sig 200) on my main account, and I will say that, while Namor is the best option for specific matchups (I'm looking at YOU, Electro and any other unavoidable damage), Colossus is the more rounded and overall better option, IMO. His multiple immunities, massive damage potential, and pure tankiness make him viable in so much content.

Dumb question because they're totally different champs with totally different uses. Namor does some things that no other champ can do (throw automatic damage back at a defender, throw massive special after special etc), while Colossus has some sweet tricks, immunities, heavy damage and damage on parries to the opponent.

It's a matter of what you need for specific situations.

Not true. For colossus, you can just parry heavy until sp2. Launch heavy, and before the 2nd hit throw sp2. Get massive fury bonus, combined with armor up buffs, and destroy the oppoent.
Namor: Build up to SP3. Wait for imperious rex. Active imperious rex. Throw SP3. Throw SP2. repeat.

Yes, namor can reflect DOT back to defender, but he needs max sig and also has to be super agressive.

What champs do what colossus do better? They might do one or two things he does better, but not everything. Colossus combines all these things.

this is a good summary of it, imo. colossus can handle most fights with ease with amazing damage and some solid utility. namor isn't as good as colossus for general fights, but for those special fights that his sig is good for, he is generally one of the best matchups

Second of all: Quake's combination of AAR and not hitting the opponent let's you ignore most of what Namor can deal back and what she can't ignore, other champs do with their immunities. Plus there are champs like CMM that can ignore that kind of damage with a long-lasting indestructible. So Namor doesn't actually cover anything that no one else can. Plus even if he's sig 200, you still can't reflect all damage even if you're playing as aggressive as possible. Unless you're talking about damage reflecting the opponent's damage reflection, but Quake can ignore that ****.

And thirdly: Namor's damage is definitely not easier to get. For the best damage, you've got to get to a Sp3, throw it right before Imperius Rex (which takes a long time to ramp up even if you're throwing double mediums), then throw another Sp3, Sp2 and whatever else you can get off. If that doesn't do it, you have to do it all again. With Colossus, you can just parry, heavy, repeat, parry, heavy, Sp2 which gives a huge of damage. And those who say he can't deal with limber or stun immune are just wrong cause you can still just use basic combos and Sp2's and get massive damage output which is how people solo almost all Labyrinth fights with him. Plus, both of these strategies are super easy to do and work up to, especially with Emma on the team

But also, Colossus is better than Namor in 95% of fights and that 5* that Namor is better for doesn't make him the better champ.

Outside Ghost and Aegon (ramped up), isn’t Colossus one of the highest, if not highest, damage dealing champion with the most immunities? That’s nothing to scoff at. Colossus can easily do way more fights then Namor while Namor can only do one fight Colossus cant, don’t see how they’re on par.
