Riddle me this

Riddle me this.
On my main device I have been playing for the last hour.
For that same hour on my secondary device (and alt account) I can`t log in because of emergency maintenance.
I'm glad I can play on my main account, but I still do not understand it.
Anyone else experiencing the same kind of issue?
