Magneto buff feedback

Magneto deserves to be super good for sure, but any reasonable person can agree that his specials are broken like this

So in my own personal opinion I think the best thing to do is to cap the prowess to be for example 10 against non metal and 20 against metal

Also, as for utility side he's pretty solid so I don't think anything needs to be changed there

Give us something to get excited about and stay excited about. If the community’s initial response is that they would really love to see such a Magneto, then go with it. Now if that it taken away and replaced by some unexciting weaker version, doesn’t that have a negative impact on some of the other promises that players could get excited about? Kabam should demonstrate how serious they are about some of the “too good to be true” things that they talked about. I mean, is he really going to hurt anything so long as he is not too hard on defense? He deals with what, 1/4 of all champs? It’s not game breaking.
changing the armor break from 30-20 is not that major of a reduction.

Is that all that Kabam wants to do, or is that just all you know of? I’m talking about Kabam reacting to all this OP talk and wondering what they need to do to rectify it. A minor tweak is fine, as long as it stops there. Even if he was OP, it is fitting. Top mutant actually makes sense for once.

Thanks for all of the feedback. The Design is not final at this time, but if anything was to change, it would be tuning changes to the numbers, and not his Kit. All pre-release content is subject to change right up until release, and as a reminder, can still be changed after release as well.

Its in beta, that is what that is for. You would not even know about the abilities if the leak happened, but they would still be creating content and testing him in Abyss and finding this out.

It’s magneto. If a character in the game should be too OP, he is the guy. He can change rotation of the earth if he wanted too.

Well, Kabam Miike just covered it. His toolkit alone would make him one of the best, and that’s not being touched. The only thing that could ruin him now is hitting like a wet noodle. That’s what he was, and so we know that won’t be the case.

Magneto deserves this kit and little bit more. He has proven time and time again, in the comics and the movies, how strong he is, please do not deviate too much from reality.

I suggest making the following minor changes to his kit

1. Change his immunity from shock debuff to shock effects. He should be 90% immune to all shocks effects either debuff or passive. This will make him special, since there are very few fully shock immune champs in the game.

2. Please specify in his abilities description "Immune to reserve controls"

3. In his sig ability it says xxx critical resistance and block penetration. Please reword that sentence.

4. Attacks are considered energy based and not physical. But some of his basic or medium or heavy attacks should be non-contact attacks. When was the last time, we saw Magneto ever touching or striking an opponent with his own hand? right, exactly NeVer. So my suggestion would be make his medium and heavy attack non-contact attacks, same as Omega Red.

5. Change shrapnel bleed to Molecular bleed or cellular bleed.

6. Modify his sp2 interaction. Instead of activating an armor break debuff. Make Magneto the first Champ to inflict an armor break effect, making him the first champ to deal effectively with IMIW passive armor up effects.

7. Also, after watching the CCP videos showcasing Magneto sp3, i noticed he doesn't get the 2nd fury buff when fighting magnetic champs. Description says Magneto would get a fury buff if fighting #hero champ, and would get a 2nd fury buff is opponent is #metal.

In addition to it, Kabam please add a special synergy to Magneto pairing up with Prof X. It would be so significant and realistic to have synergy between just those 2.

I think he’s fine the way he’s been shown. He’s a beast of a villain in the comics and he should be in the game. Champs like domino who are barely even secondary characters in the comics are gods in this game but the gods in the comics are mediocre in the game? How does that even make any sense?

His buff looks great and as people said; you still need to be skilled to let off that damage. If you parry and hold heavy you’ll take chip damage. But if you intercept heavies, intercept specials then you’ll end up with stacked prowess. Not everyone can do that and keep it up. So the normal mcoc’Er will not show off his true OPness.

Absolutely — I said that in another thread. Heavy charging for Prowess while needing to intercept is not something everyone can do well. It’s one of the sneaky-difficult mechanics in the game and IMO, it’s exactly why Kabam altered Magneto this way — yeah, the kit hits hard. But not everyone is gonna access the DPS consistently, like Storm (PX) and Hela

No need to tune down his numbers, hes mostly used for metal champs, reliant on heavies/specials, still not as good as OR, and was one of the worst champs everyone wanted a buff for , for 5 years. He deserves this @Kabam Miike . Anything less would be sub-par

Anything less than we have seen in the beta, will be disappointing for the most anticipating buff in MCOC history.
Expectation are very high and Kabam should better deliver it.
After all, if a champ deserves to be op in the game, that’s the notorious Magneto ❤️

Also after pulling punisher 2099 as 6* yesterday I'm looking forward to news on that one lol. Also have 6* white mags... The anticipation is killing me

My 5* Punisher 2099 is sig100.. natural dupes.. he isn't useful now, so wondering how they will improve on his skill set.. one thing kabam can improve upon is removing the condition that makes him lose his charges.

1.) why does he need to be immune to shock effects?

2.) He is only immune to Emma’s reverse controls as an Easter egg because it’s a running idea in the comics that magneto’s metal helmet protects him from telepathic abilities like Frost’s, Jean Grey, Prof ax’s, etc. And if you list it as an ability it removes the point of it being an Easter egg.

3.) why in the world does that need to be reworded?

4.) He pretty much makes direct contact just with magnetic energy surrounding his hands. I don’t see why that needs to be a non-contact move as it clearly makes contact.

5.) Please take a moment to find out what shrapnel means and I’ll let you piece together why it’s called that and once you do you’ll see why “Shrapnel” makes far more sense than “Molecular” or “Cellular”

6.) Don’t armor break debuffs remove 1 armor effect each? I know corvus’ armor breaks remove IMIW’s armor passives.

7.) Are you sure in those videos that the champ that is being hit by the sp3 is both #metal and #hero? Because as far as I’ve seen when the sp3 is used against a #metal and a #hero both furies are obtained as they are supposed to function.

Yes I Agree - We Would Rather Have the Game Serve as an exponential Function - Should We not?

Many Champs have Somewhat Inverted This Function this Year and Believe me Many Games Die When this Function is Betrayed!

By watching these nerfs skills preview videos, I clarify my doubts, kabam does not use the content, characters and difficulties well. They're not doing a good job lately. dragon man and air walker are terrible, and many others are very rotisimo, they are very uneven and uneven characters. Magneto as shown in the video is imposing, massive, without equal. why do something like that and let them publish it and then nerf it. what are you playing for? I always say the same, the team lacks coherence and testing, stop playing fornite and do the job well

barbarian, I would rather wait a little longer and have a good result, than to make a buff after a nef after a buff. hahaha it's ridiculous. do the corresponding tests and do a good job, don't keep using us as testers, that's your job.
