It's the Silver Surfer for god's sake. One of the most prominent characters in Marvel history. But even if we put that aside, that's 1 above average attacker in 18 months of MCOC. That's an awful ratio. There's been so many duds.

Aarkus also exists. Annihilus is decent with synergies. Cull is decent as well.

Even with synergies, Annihilus sucks. He’s not viable for any sort of endgame content and is only good as a defender. It’s a shame, he has a great kit, he’s just useless with his current damage numbers and the stifles are pointless on offense. They really should change how the stifle works so instead of reducing offensive power gain rate it reduces defensive power rate since with how it is now, even if you stack up 12 stifles, they just expire whenever the defender throws a special attack.
Each class is going to have champions that are above and beyond and champions that struggle in late game content. Cosmic has many good champions, Medusa, Hyperion, Corvus, Angela, captain marvel, etc.

Those last three came in September, October, and November. Cosmic has been decent for a while, time for them to get some sucky champs.
Just because recent champions of a certain class don’t live up to recent champions of another class doesn’t make one class better than the other. Overall.
