Either way, the Login Rewards with this game are better than just about any I've seen in terms of the In-Game Value. It's something for nothing. Which is why I don't start thinking about 5*s, or T2As, or 6* Shards, or anything really. It leads to disappointment with whatever comes. There could be no Calendar. It's not owed to us.

It's not owed to us. Actually, it isn't something for nothing. Two of the most important phone game metrics are revenue and user engagement. The calendar, along with things like daily crystals, 4 hour crystals, solo events, etc. are all ways to keep users active and engaged. So when you do "nothing" by logging in, you are actually providing an input to the system that has value for the developer. (And of course, there's no way to generate revenue for the game unless you have done "nothing" by logging in.) And for logging in, you get "something"--in this case, a set of pixels that the ToS are clear are not really "yours" in any legal, property-ownership sense. Which means, in reality, you receive "something" that is actually "nothing" for doing "something." Dr. Zola
