Champ boss comp mistake

My whole alliance has had act 6 100% basically since it came out. The compensation message says the rewards aren’t correlated to how much you used but the progress itself. Can you tell me why we got different amounts of each items?

    It said the depends on amount of quest progress they did on that quest. If you didn’t explore it then you get half I’m guessing

    I 100% the quest pre nerf, I got less compensation because I did 3 links at once

    someone said its probably based on how many times you beat him, and that seems true
