To Aegon or not to Aegon......

Need thoughts.

I have an R3 Aegon sig 40.
Since skill sucks and ive heard alot of good about him im debating on going to R5.

2 questions though, for the Aegon pros.

1. Is sig 40 ok for now with the goal being 200

2. Is he good for shorter fight content like cav eq, act 6, variants ect.

Or is he basically for AOL, LOL, etc.?

Any advice or input will help.

I have an Ægon at rank 5 Sig 100. He is a solid character imo as I have used him in cavalier event quest and act 6. Ideally he needs around Sig 80 to 100 for 50 to 60% of his combo to be banked. If you can ramp him up upto 100 hits he is already a great champion as he would hit hard and is practically debuff immune. At 150 hits he gains true strike which will further enhance his utility. And in my experience I have found that reaching a 100 hit combo isn't too difficult. However it's true that he shines only in LoL and AoL but still he's a great character outside of that too.

I have a R5 5 star Sig 67 (48.9%)
Base Critical Rating is 0. Increased by 31.98 for each hit of the combo meter
Base Critical Damage Rating is 738. Increased by 12.68 for each hit of the combo meter.

At 50 in his combo meter, he is already hitting at
Critical Rating 1599
Critical Damage Rating 738+634 = 1372

Compared those numbers to a R5 5* Stark Enhanced Spidey.
Base Critical Rating 944
Base Critical Damage Rating 1234

So, we all know how hard Starky hits at his base and without poise charges. Aegon at 50 combo meter charge, he is already hitting harder than Starky at his base. I also checked out a Domino 6* R2 and her base stats are lower than Starky. So yeah you get the idea.

Why did i do this comparison. Because alot of people told me I needed Aegon maxed sig and he takes forever to ramp up. All of that is lies. Depending on the length of the fight, it usually takes me 2 fights in AQ Map5 to bank 50 at my combo persistent charge meter. From there on, he is already hitting like a madman.

I'm using Aegon in Uncollected difficulty, and also Master difficulty. Using him on those lower difficulties could help you sharpen your Aegon skills, etc etc. If you are new using Aegon, I suggest bringing along Proxima Midnight, cause she will activate a combo shield in case you slip up and get hit.

Skill definitely doesn’t suck. Fury, Hit Monkey, and Aegon are some of the best champs in the game. Not to mention Blade, Stealth Spidey, Killmonger, new Black Widow etc.

Any bit of duped Aegon is good (not great) but once you can save 30-35% percent of your hit streak you’ll start to notice a big difference. Once youre at 50% plus you’ll really see a huge difference, and beyond 60% is just awesome.

Remember Aegon doesn’t crit naturally. He only does it once his hit streak builds up. But in Cav difficulty, especially with an R3, you’ll have nothing but time to build up a hit streak. You’re basically fighting with a 5/50 4s Aegon at that point.

But r4/r5 him immediately unless you have someone like corvus that you can r5 first. And put any skill or generic stones into him. You won’t be disappointed.

As far as what he feels like to play, at r4/r5 you should be able to get 100 hits or so out of your first fight. With your current sig at r4 you’ll save maybe 35-40 hits out of the 100. And then each subsequent fight you’ll get fewer hits, like maybe 25-30 saves from your next fight, because they’ll just die faste as your hit streak makes you stronger. Once Aegon gets over 100 stored hits you’ll really notice how powerful he is. At r4 with 100 stored hits, the r3 6s champs you’ll fight in unbuffed cav paths will feel like they’re r4 5s to you.

He’s great for a ton of content but like every champ, there will be nodes he struggles with. But if you’ve got a duped Aegon you’re in great shape in this game. Max him as soon as you can, and get good at keeping that hit streak alive.

Do you really consider CAV EQ and ACT 6 fights as short??? REALLY? Aegon is perfect for ACT 6. He don't need 999 hits to be good, 150 are enough for him to hit pretty hard

i think hes comparing length of act six, variants, cav eq fights to rol, lol and AoL
