Throne Breaker Title Discussion [Merged Threads]

What are your thoughts? I have mixed feelings on this.

The r3 6* barrier is one of the worst decisions I’ve seen. I have about 1.5 cosmic t5cc and none of the others have filled. Also out of all my 6* only 3 classes have a champ that I would r3 and not consider it a waste.

Basically I’ve 100% everything in game other than 6.4 which is almost there and abyss(one pass) and yet I would have to knowingly waste a t5cc on a useless champ to qualify.

The other lines made sense. This... this is trash and I cannot believe after all the good will building you would basically put this behind a paywall unless you have had luck.

Also my first t5cc was formed 6 months ago and in 6 months I haven’t opened a single cosmic champ I would even consider for r4 5* let alone r3 6*.

For me I’m right back to where I was on June... ready to tap out and leave again. This is demoralizing because basically clearing content isn’t the litmus test to better rewards luck and PTW is now.

To be really clear here (and let the dislikes pour in), this is meant to be a differentiating factor between players in the Cavalier progression level, and those that are far advanced from there.

As you guys are well aware, there is a huge breadth of players that have hit Cavalier status, from those that have beaten Act 6 Chapter 1 just once, to those that have explored Abyss of Legends, and take on the Grandmaster and Champion bosses daily just for fun.

It becomes extremely difficult for us to make content that targets everybody in that group when one end is so far ahead of the other. As we moved away from making Act content our measuring stick for Summoner Roster and Skill Progression, we had to move to other measurements. Having 1x Rank 3 6-Star is quite low on the scale of differentiation since many of these Summoners have quite a lot more.

If you haven't hit that point yet, that's okay. There's still a lot for you to benefit from as a Cavalier, and those benefits will help you as you progress and grow towards the next level.

One of your own CCP members just now got his first 6* R3 even though he had Act 6 explored for a long time. The fact that you're bringing 6* RNG and T5CC RNG into titles is just plain stupid.

That's a tough one so many beautiful mega god tier champs of skill class coming, I am confused for my first R3 6*. Anybody to help me out?

P.S. : Act 6 is 100% and only have Skill t5cc

With the discount to Cavalier crystals will you add, sometime in the future, a Thronebreaker crystal? This Crystal guaranteeing a 4 star with a rare chance at 5 and 6 stars? Especially with the progression of some of us players in the game. Getting that three star out of a Cavalier Crystal just sucks. So I find it would be pretty nice if a new Crystal would come in where the lowest rarity would be a four star. (Not going to lie, I love getting four stars just because the iso you get from a four star is the same as duping a six star. (Which makes no sense)).

Would be cool to see that in game.

Fairly positive thoughts over this. With the speed that we can get resources and shards - T5CC excepted - there’s very little difference in terms of raw power level in my roster - 27 R5/R2 and Act 6 explored except 6.2 - compared to someone who is mid-way through Act 6. Sure, I will have a lot more R5s and therefore a lot more utility in my roster, but ultimately my Domino is still going to hit the same numbers as the more junior player’s Domino.

Ultimately the true separation at the top of the tree is having that R3 6* on your roster.

When is it live? Is it completion or exploration? and thank you for doing this

It will be live on October 1st, and it's just completion of Act 6 that is required.

mankind is so messed up right now. everybody wants everything and they want it now.
sometimes u need to wait and work for something to understand the real value.
There is no guaranteed rewards for working hard in this game it is pure Rng.
all rewards are guaranteed in this game. u get a 6star nexus after exploring act 6 or am i wrong?

I’m really glad I dropped the game now. I saw progression title in my former ally discord and came to check it out. R3 gate doesn’t make sense, there is already RNG required to get the champs to beat the super specific content but then more RNG to get the title? Make it make sense.

Being a member of the CCP does not make you a measure of progress, or a ceiling. There will always be things that even our highest end of players need to strive for.

What is the point of releasing that title when it will take them ages to release that difficulty; it just adds a whole new unnecessary complected dynamic to the game - I would of just moved the Caviler title to act 6 chapter 4 exploration but it's far too late and controversial to do but I am still hyped for that title

I think Kabam will find that a lot of advanced players, sooner or later, would have left the game without having a throne breaker title. This has nothing to do with skill, unlike what was needed to get the uncollected or cavalier title.

This is pure RNG and resources that are not widely available in the game unless you regularly spend. I've always hated the whining of players saying "pay to win" but this is probably the closest thing that Kabam has done to differentiate the free to play players than the paying players, who by the way, because of RNG are probably not any closer to the throne breaker than the rest of us.

He's just an example. There are many people who have explored Act 6 and don't have a R3 because of bad 6* luck or bad T5CC luck. No one should miss out on a title and the benefits that come with it because of RNG. People will strive for R3's with oe without this change.

People are overreacting. Chances that you've explored act 6 and done a path in Abyss and lack a r3 are low.
They're nerfing act 6 and book 2 is coming out with new avenues for t5cc
There's 2 10% from cavalier monthly as well as things like side events and one off events
There's no rush to get it day one as there's no new calendar or anything crazy that you're missing out on

So I don’t just have the resources for a rank 3 and have act 6 100%.... I have 2 SCIENCE T5CC..... given that I have no science I feel comfortable ranking as a 6*, I think it is a very bad choice to base a progression title on an RNG rank up material.
This is a choice that you have to make. You are under no pressure to choose one of those Champions if you don't want to. This title is not going anywhere. As T5CC become more common, you'll have more choices, but at this time, this is the way that we have decided to separate the next tier in a way that takes into account both your progression in-game, and your roster progression.
BUT WHY?? WHY IN THE GODDAMN WHY???

I was excited and wanted to make a push and then I saw the 6* requirements. It's just act 6 gates all over again.

We really thought you had moved past it. And it's not based on skill either. People with 100% act 6 now have to r3 champs they don't want because it obviously will make a difference in the rewards and gifts from hereon.

How else are they supposed to get throne breaker title.? There's another person here with o ly a skill t5cc and no skill champs to use it on. What will they do?
i guess wait for the right champ. or would u r3 a meh champ for a stupid title? no, you r3 champs for the usefulness and fun and because u like to play with them. not because of a title with more or less no impact.
Man, you went straight to the point and still missed it. The pressure to get the title is undeniable since it will boost your progression. So now you have to choose a meh 6* to rank 3 or decide to sacrifice your progressiom boost.that f'ed up

Doesn't matter if you have all the T5CC in the game when you don't have a 6* worthy of R3 that would benefit your roster.
