Question: what exactly is a “Basic Attack”?

Is it simply any non-special attack? Does it include heavy attacks?

I ask because I see “Basic Attack” listed in at least one node, Mix Master.

    Yes, it includes Heavy Attack.

    If you are concern about Mix Master, the usual tactics is to parry then LMLM.

    Otherwise, you can also use can champs with True Strike/Slow to bypass the Evade.

    Oddly enough they still evade if you dash back twice or hold block through 2+ hits. So those aren’t basic attacks? 🧐🤦‍♂️😂

    No they don’t.
    Against mix master they only evade if you repeat the same basic attack twice. Dashing back or blocking doesn’t count and doesn’t trigger the evade.

    Might you be thinking about tunnel vision ?
    Where the same “action” results in the falter debuff?

    Basic attack is any attack that isn’t special. So medium, light and heavy attacks.

    So mix master causes evades when you do one of those actions twice in a row.

    As for the comment @Jaded made, that interaction only works on nodes like tunnel vision, which is done by an action and not a basic attack, so dash backs and blocks count, as @Onmix said

    Light, medium, and heavy attacks are basic attacks. Basic attacks are not special attacks

    The reason I asked about this was because I used Torch on Mix Master, and I realized after winning the fight that I had forgotten about the node and thrown three consecutive heavies (or more), without triggering evade.

    Is it because his heavy is two hits? Maybe just a bug?

    Really ? Any slow / anti evade , TS works ??
