G99 is a garbage can next to Worlock. He is easily way better than her. Better power control (especially if the opponent regens). Can heal block literally the whole fight (not just reverse a tiny bit for a few seconds after SP2). Better regen. Better with suicides.

He actually has a great damage output. Need to parry heavy for that bleed. Also, his SP2 slaps.

No dumb finishing a fight with SP3, then being too powerful to get to SP3 the next fight and losing all your benefits and starting at square 0 for most content.

If you are not sure of something you don't have to speak, better power control?, for real?.
And besides all those cons of g99 are things that can easily be played around and I have given explanation countless times on how it can be done,so I won't do that here

Looks like a rank 3 6*, and I saw the word "fury" pop up, meaning you're probably playing against a biohazard cyclops with the Ultron synergy.

If you claim "no synergies", then it could be icarus, I can also see you're probably running suicides.

It's not every scenario you'd get such numbers bruh.

Warlock does not have better power power control; I haven't seen anyone comfortably take on an all or nothing fight that is not a regener with him.

His Regen is nowhere close to Guilly's. In fact, for saying that absolute nonsense, you are proving to be dumb. I don't see Warlock healing on his mediums with absolute ease, neither have I seen him shoot back up to 55% health almost instantly. You call a mediocre Regen of about 5% health per infection, that is only on his SP 3 good? You are tripping.

As for heal countering, I agree that warlock beats Guilly in that regard; but I don't think I've seen a healing scenario that I can't overpower with Guilly. Have you ever heard of variant 3 Kang? RoL wolverine? LoL X-23? Those 3 easily have the most ridiculous Regen potentials in the game. Guilly soloes them without stress.

And please, how is Warlock better with suicides? Please enlighten me. Because I've not seen warlock covering recoil damage just by throwing his mediums. I haven't seen him dip below 15% health due to recoil damage, and instantly shoot up to 50%+.

It's apparent you haven't even played with Guilly. You might not like her, but don't say s**t about her, or you're inviting my attention.

as i said, without synergies he's dropping 50k heavies, the 70k is with ultron synergy on biohazard, not the highest damage in the world but nowhere close to bad damage

Honestly I feel he's slightly overrated only because players remember his reputation pre fix, largely just because he was super beyond god tier and no ones really questioned it since. Can't say I'm a fan of my 6*, but I rarely feel the need or urge to even use him. His synergies are underrated though.

tbf I've only ever played him with suicides lol i cant argue whether his damage is way too crappy without them or not, but utility wise he covers up a LOT, i dont have guilly either so idk, but with suicides he's doing a hell of a gd job in war and act6 stuff

I have played around with Warlock a lot. Granted, he's just a 4*. But I've used him in RoL, act 5, act 6, monthly EQ (even in cavalier difficulty for the 4* challenge), I believe I've used him in war and AQ as well.

What I'm trying to say is that I'm not a noob to playing warlock. All my opinions on him are based on my experiences playing him.
Furthermore, even if I got a 5* in the future, I might not have much need to rank him up. For power control, I have Guilly, Quake, basically Ghost, Void, hulkbuster. For Regen control, I use Guilly to overpower that sometimes, but whenever I need some absolute control, I use my Void, or archangel. For immunities, Ghost, Claire and Guilly have me covered. For armor break, I have CMM and hulkbuster. For bleed, I've not really ran into scenarios where I absolutely need a bleeder other than "do you bleed"; but nevertheless AA somewhat has me covered in that regard.
For sustainability through Regen, Claire and Guilly easily cover that as well.

However, if I did get a 6*, I might have no choice but to use him, and I might decide to take him all the way to rank 3 since I'm at 50% of a tech, and also I reach the point where I'd have waited long enough for g99 or Ghost.

What I'm saying is that I'm not really in need of his utilities, since I have other champs that do it better. Like is said a lot, he's the best against healing. But my AA does it better for me, because he's fast, efficient, and a lot of Regeners aren't immune to bleed or poison.

Same here, I really used my duped 4* warlock before my roster got developed,AQ,AW,and quests,so he his a champion that I am really familiar with and trust me(at least in my POV) G99 is better, and just like you've mentioned the things he does that G99 cant do and your counters for them i also have counters to them

Shock? I have HB
Regen?, Guilly can handle that,I also have HT,I also have magneto (with magik synergy)
Armor break?,I also have HB for that

Honestly I don't see myself favoring warlock over G99 anytime soon,and if we are to be sincere warlock seem like the type of champion that might not withstand the test of time(just like Blade,Iceman and Namor) with crazy health pools being the direction of the game these days and I seriously don't see the same happening to G99.
I know I will get disagrees for this but if we are to be sincere its kind of true

I am not saying you are wrong. But, the reason Warlock is considered very good is he does a lot of things. He might not be the best heal block or armor break or damage or regen or have a lots if immunities, but he can do all of these effortlessly. I don't really like champs that regen when health get low, just a personal preference. G2099 cannot armor break, CMM cannot heal up at will, AA has no immunities, Void cannot bleed. See what I mean? The champs that listed cannot do what Warlock can do. They have a single utility, Warlock is a Swiss army knife.

If it’s a case that he’s just a really good suicides champ, I can understand. That’s just like Omega.

His damage is still pretty good without suicides. I used him throughout Act 6 100% without suicides and he did perfectly well.

On a side note, Omega doesn’t need the suicides either. He was my second most used champ in Act 6 100% behind Ghost.

Both become much better with suicides, but neither require them

The broader question here is Swiss Army knife vs. Specialist. Jack of all trades vs Master. Warlock is the jack of all trades but is he best at any one single thing? Probably not, but he’s got versatility which means he’s probably best in a progressing roster vs an endgame roster stacked with specialists.

Is that pretty much the case? Or is warlock best at one single thing? Anyone with experience?

I’ve got a pretty stacked roster (around 30+ R5/R2’s, and a R3). I still find him incredibly useful in any situation with healing, in fact he’s my number 1 counter. The infection is just so powerful

Healing is a big problem in this game and Warlock counters it better than anyone. That's why he's used everywhere. He's used a ton in War, he's used everywhere in Act 6, he's even used for niche fights in Abyss. That's why he'll always be above G99 in my eyes. She doesn't do anything better than anyone else.

And anyone who says his damage is trash hasn't bothered to use him. His damage is probably better than 80% of champs in this game. The G99 lovers always ignore her initial ramp-up. Warlock will be done with the first 3 fights before G99's first one is down.

(Didn't wanna make this a Warlock vs. G99 thread, but that happened long before I got here and I'm not going to deal with people trashing on Warlock for no reason.)
