I summon the almighty
I wanted to say this below your vid, but if I did YT would have removed it
Migrate elsewhere, pal. YT is auto imploding. Many other content creators who were (often unjustly) silenced have done this. And many have started back ups for when they get eventually kicked off or won't put up anymore with their non sense. Bitchute, Dlive, Odysee (Lbry)... There are options and I'm sure many mcoc fans would follow you wherever you will go.
The show of love from the community to you is awesome to see, and you deserve it - but it might not be enough to YT coz, well, u know how they are.
All the best, Rich
I just don’t see how this affects us. I’ve watched his videos and several other YT’s but I’m not going to change my gaming habit when one stops making videos. Honesty they all talk too much and I skip over Rich’s minute of asking people to follow him on several other things😂.
Also- I’ve never subscribed to any channel. I don’t feel the need to be alerted. If I’m needing some info, I’ll go searching for it.
He's a nice guy. This is his living currently. Let him keep his job.
Jesus.
Rich or any other MCOC Youtuber getting demonitized by Youtube apparently tweaking their automated aup algorithm affects lots of people. It affects his fans for one thing. But it also affects players who don't necessarily subscribe to his channel but are interested when Youtube starts whacking content creators for random inexplicable reasons with no means for appeal, which happens all the time on the platform. If you care about MCOC having a healthy engaged player community, things like the Reddit and the forums and yeah, all the Youtubers who continue to make content for the game are all part of that community. The issues that affect them collectively might be important to any player that cares about the game as a whole, rather than just their tiny narrow slice of it.
I have no delusions that anyone would stop playing the game if I stopped posting on the forums. I don't do it because I think I'm necessary. I do it to contribute to the community. The Youtubers out there should be treated in more or less the same way. They aren't individually necessary. But they are collectively very valuable. They entertain, they inform, they collectively promote the game. Anything that makes life difficult for them, especially something that could just as easily affect all of them as it could one of them, is something noteworthy to a big chunk of the MCOC player community, even if their game playing doesn't hinge on it.
I somewhat understand what the OP was saying because there sometimes can be an exaggeration due to fanaticism. I made the same point in another Thread, but the difference I don't see here was that people were literally implying the game would cave without certain YouTubers. I haven't seen anything of that nature here, just a Thread of support. Plus, turtles.
I agree, not a reason to refrain from posting.
I'm sure Rick will read this at some point. We appreciate you, mate. Hope the YT situation improves. And if you end up moving, be sure to let the community know via the forums.
