Defenders throwing late intercepts against heavy and mediums. Video included.

This is a different issue than is being discussed in the other thread.
The defender can throw the special much later than they used to be able to throw it. As a result sometimes you throw your attack, the animation shows a hit but nothing happens and you get hit with a special.

I recorded this duel video to demonstrate. I start to launch my heavy while his special power is still over 1 bar. Then his special power drops, I should hit him but nothing happens. Then his special hits me.

Maybe my description was not clear since I did not get any response so I wanted to post screen grabs showing the problem.

Neither one of these resulted in a hit, miss, evade, etc. Since his cables are wrapped about KG's body, something should have happened.

U can't hit the defender in the middle of their special attacks. Think of it as a silent unstoppable and indestructible.

My heavy is launched **before** his special attack (he still has over 1 bar of power) - I am not trying to interrupt him. It is hard to capture the complete issue which is why I originally sent the video.

Previously, the defender would interrupt the heavy attack with his special if I was late. Or my heavy would prevent the defender from launching a special if defender was late. Now the defender has a longer window and my heavy attack does nothing, but it is not interrupted either.

The AI is always going to win the race if you try to charge a heavy attack while they are free to take action. Thankfully so as players wouldn’t be able to react to the AIs heavy in time either.

For sure the AI has always been able to launch its special before you get your heavy off. What I am trying to say is that the window for the AI to do so seems to have expanded, or some sort of locking/timing mechanic was changed. If the AI intercepted you would not be able to visually hit the defender (unless unstoppable, etc.).

The same timing issue also happens on medium dashes - the special launches after you should have made contact. I have no issue with being intercepted, its just when. I used this video because it was easy to replicate. I will try to start recording other fights so I can show an example of it happening on a medium dash.

I appreciate that everyone who thinks I am mistaken is being constructive and not saying "git gud." I will try to get another video.
