MEPHISTO REGEN BROKEN IN WAR

Our alliance is facing a mephisto as war boss. Kabam said in the past that in war, regen would be based off base health and not modified health like 500% health nodes. This mephisto base health was around 16156 and he had 6 charges. His modified health in the boss node was 169000. When he reached 30%, he regen should be 10% of 16156, x6 per charge which is 1616 x 6 = 9696. Instead, he regenerated 16900 6 times for a total of 100k health.

Here's a video showing the regen.

We wasted a ton of items getting him down to 30% health assuming the regen would be minimal. This is ridiculous. All those items went to waste

    I’d like to add that heal block doesn’t work on him, with Octopus I put heal block before he has regen, when he triggers it, the first heal is blocked, but if he has multiples charges he can heal with that. While having heal block

    Better be broken! Regen should be off base health. He will be impossible as boss. Regen boss node would be hard enough... this is absurd.

    How is it not a bug? Kabam said regen is off base health. This was regen off modified node health. That's broken
    becasse he. Has procent basse. Reg in hes. Abilyty. Sry my bad english. But like im say. Im hope it a bug.

    The regen he has is percentage based so for some reason he is the only champion that has regen based on modified health its not a bug just a oversight on kabam's part

    What do you mean oversight? Meaning it should be off base health? It doesn't say anything in his abilities about modified health regen

    Sorry, I was informed Kabam has absolutely no possibility for Oversight when discussing a friend who lost his fairly gained rewards from the exploitation bug.
  • The reason Mephisto is healing by modified health is because his abilities state his regeneration in percentage. If you look at every other regen champ in the game, you will see it is a number and not a %, hence modified health doesn't affect the regen. But since Mephisto has % health regen, this means the number would be calculated off the modified health.

    Yea, that means theoretically if Mephisto was an LoL 3.3m boss and he triggered his regen and had 6 souls, he would heal 60% of 3.3m health, or 1.98m health. Thankfully he isn't, but as a war boss, even him having just 200k health would cause him to heal 120k health with 6 souls, and that's just painful.

    willpower is based off a percentage as well, but that's still healing off base health.
  • I don't see how it being a % makes a difference. Whether flat or % kabam said AW was of base health so shouldn't the % amout be of base health?

    This makes no sense. Just because his regen is a percentage. How do you make the leap to now it's suddenly off modified health.

    Correct. The people saying his regen is based off modified health because it's a percentage make no sense. It's like me saying well the sun is out today so mephisto regen is off modified health. One has nothing to do with the other

    Right, didn't see that coming.

    It probably might be a bug I guess. That being said, no reason to flag me for spam whoever it is. It was a sensible answer at first, anyone could have easily come up with that since he is the only champion in game to state regen in a % value.

    Gully does not reverse the regen, she can stop it tho. But at the same time you can’t expect even a 4/55 gully to survive until a sp2 since she has no counter to the aura of incineration.

    Phisto is not bugged. He’s just flawed in design. Kabam has previously stated that all health regen would be based on base health, until this guy showed up.

    Us brining guillotine and his being bugged are not related. Also what if he's on a debuff immune node. Then guillotine can't do anything and he's still bugged

    P99 works as long as he has enough battery charge. Guilly is really a **** shoot. He can't take damage during his regen phase, and you would have to time your L2 to hit just before he dropped below 30% just to stop it.

    It's obviously a bug I hope, or that's why diversity was introduced so we aren't facing 10 mephistos per bg along with all the other top notch defenders

    His regen is based on "Max" health in the description and therefore it is working as intended and hence why they brought up his usefulness on AWD (besides incinerate). Max health you saw in 5.2 is based on modified health including nodes.

    Max health means max base health. It means if he has 16k max health, but then he gets hurt in match and now has 10k / 16k health, the calculation will be done on 16k and not 10k

    "Max" health includes nodes in spots it has appeared prior to this champ's release post regen change. Go work on 5.2 where buffet etc is based on "max health" and you will see they regen base on their noded health... otherwise 5.2.3 and 5.2.4 global nodes would lose 1/2 their power. In other spots where buffs are not based on Max health you will see + % regen to increase limits of regen. So basically "max" is the word I look to determine if it scales with nodes now. If it doesn't list max it most likely lists a flat value which doesn't grow with nodes (and those flat values are typically based on a percent of base health so increase as you level the champ)
