here's an open-minded, civil comment: Why aren't the mods or AIR QUOTE GUARDIAN reminding people to stick to game-related content on these boards and leave the "personality" puff-pieces to Kabam-sanctioned CC folk who actually add insight and value to the enjoyment of playing the game? Wanna start a blog interviewing rando accounts from a game you play? Knock yourself out. Is it on-brand for this forum? It hasn't been up till now.
You're not entirely wrong, but you could just keep on scrolling if it bothers you so much. Two a week (or however many it actually will be) is hardly cluttering the forums.
My take is that it's no secret how toxic the forums are. Some light threads where we get to know more about some of the people here is far from the worst thing in the world. It may even help bring the toxicity down if people know we have a fellow BK lover here, for example.
But as far as the precedent and matter of stare decisis regarding off-topic posts, I'll leave that to the Supreme Court- I mean, Kabam Miike to decide.
As long as this series is done in moderation, I see nothing wrong with it.

not reälly, since with once or twice a week there are still blind spots. if a post is on troller #2's birthday they might feel they need a little present for their hard work on this planet and open up the thread and go ham on it. and the moderation is down then who know what can happen 🤔?

what lead you to become so involved in the forum community: I genuinely love the game. I became most active just before 12.0, and the idea of having the game shut down concerned me. That's when I became more vocal.
Why do you think your views differ so much from the majority: To be honest, I express what sticks out to me. Which is usually a different perspective because the same perspectives are expressed over and over, and I try to look at as many angles as possible. It's not to be contradictory. Just to present more information and angles. Sometimes people don't want to look at other sides, and I have to pick and choose what's going to be seen or add more tension. Which has never been my intention.
How did you come up with your username: It's pretty simple. I try to stay as calm as possible. I've had my reactive moments, for sure. I just make an effort to approach things from a less emotional view. I try to stay grounded.

To be fair, I eat a fair share of McDonald's. It was a tough one. Both have their pluses, but I have to go with the freshness of the beef. It makes the burger.

Actually, the forums have never specifically prohibited this kind of content. Even Kabam itself has done pieces like this in the past. From Forum Rule 4:

As I often remind posters, the forums primary purpose is for the players to have a venue to discuss things with each other. They aren't a suggestion box, although the mods and occasionally the devs read it. It isn't a content feedback channel, although it obviously is used for that in part. And it isn't a direct line to the devs. It is for players to express their thoughts on the game, and for other players to discuss those thoughts. True, in general the forums are intended to focus on MCOC, but some slack is allowed for tangents to the game, as long as they don't violate some other forum rule (like spamming off topic or disrupting threads obviously intended for some other constructive purpose).
Posting an interview with just some random person on Earth that had nothing to do with the game might cause the mods to take action, but posting an interview with a player of the game to allow for non-abusive social interaction within the player community is within the scope of the forums purpose, at least insofar as I understand it.
