7* and 6*

Will they introduce rank 4 and 5 6*s when the new book comes out or will they just introduce 7*s or will they introduce none?

they are not even thinking about 7*s I asked them earlier this year and they said that 7*s wouldn't be coming out. The earliest they said we could get them is fall of 2021

There is no guarantee you'll ever see them. Officially Kabam hasn't stated that 7* champions are on the future roadmap, and there are alternatives to releasing them that they might be considering, given the problems that introducing 6* champions created at the time.

What's certain is that there will be roster progress after 6* rank 5. What shape that takes is anyone's guess at the moment. 7* champions is the obvious continuation of the trend. But that's not certain.

I play a few idle games such as afk arena and the like. Those games currently go up to like 15* or sometimes even more. Its possible. Then again anything is in the world of mobile gaming lol.

Both are possibilities, but I suspect if Kabam decides not to release 7* champs they will probably want to do something different. Nobody wants to just copy what they've seen in other games, they want to invent something new if they can. So if the powers that be tell the developers they have the green light to spend time and resources to come up with an alternative to 7* champs, I'm pretty sure there will be no end to the list of internally debated ideas.

It may end up looking like something that exists already, either because of convergent evolution or just because the world of gaming is so large. But I've heard ideas from players that don't directly replicate what I've seen elsewhere, and I'm sure the developers have analogous ideas.

As of act 4 the max rank you can get has increased by 1 consistently.
act 4: r4 5*
act 5: r5 5*
act 6: r3 6*
Book 2 (Act 7): r4 6*
Book 2.2 (Act 8); r5 6*
Is my prediction.
If there ever are 7 star champs. We won`t see them untill Act 8 (or whatever that will be called), or untill we can max our 6 stars.

When the 6*s r4 will be available (2021) then the 6*s r5 will be next (2022).
History of this game has shown that when the top rank of top rarity is available, then the next rarity releases too.
7*s are a one way road for the game anyway.
The only thing that is not certain, is when Kabam will decide to go down that road. It’s natural they want to slow it as much as they can, as it will add a lot of extra work.
They could easily buy time for that, by adding to 5*s a rank6 and to 6*s a rank6 and rank7.
That would actually make pretty much sense, since all the other rarities before 5*s 6*s go a rank beyond their number of rarity.
1*s go to rank2, 2*s rank3, 3*s rank4, 4*s rank5 and then weirdly 5*s go up to rank5 too, instead of rank6.
I personally would like to see these extra ranks on 5*s and 6*s, as it would spice up the already owned champs, rather than having to build rosters from scratch 🙂

Infinity Star should be the next progression after 6 stars rank 5. Like a total infinity infused version of characters with a final push of making them rank 7 material characters that push final styles of ranks. But I wouldnt want this till like 2023 because we don't have many rank 3 6 stars. But it would be nice to see Maestro, Collector, Thanos, Kang, Grandmaster as regular character crystal options or earnings for harder future content.

I just hope they prolong it but make materials easier to get. Don't make it too hard for people to get stuff for r4 and r5 materials for 6*s. I would much rather see r6 6*s than 7*s. This game could really go without 7*s for the next 3-4 years.

If they ever introduce 7* the 6* must be a lot easier to get and the needed ressources too I don’t think this will happen before end of 2022/early 2023 and if this will ever happen i hope you can still use your 5* in every new content!

This is dumb. 6* aren't even able to go beyond r3 at present and for the majority of players, aren't even accessible or are still very rare. Stop talking about 7* and beyond. Period. 6* we're actually pretty dumb and 7* even dumber. If/when 7* are even a real option, it will be time to leave the game if that's the best they can do for creativity.

Kabam could do a lot more to be creative with the content than just requiring newer ranks of the same hundreds of characters over and over and over again. Variant 4 was amazing for the need to use the full range of our rosters and something many people enjoyed as a result. Sure there were some restrictions (1* hulk being pretty lame), but for the most part, could be done without needing a crazy roster.

7* would only make sense if they were unique (not available as lower stars) and could only be acquired by those with a specific title or milestone (like thronebreaker or whatever the next major leap will be). Just bringing in another level of the entire roster of already existing champ's will create an unbalance to the entire game and stupid inflation of champ's, especially when the pool of those champ's still contain a lot of boring, outdated, and pretty useless characters that no one wants in the first place.

Either way, if kabam keeps recycling these large pools of existing champ's and thinks that's going to keep people interested I believe they will see many old players leave for good and new ones not stick around long enough to get there either. I know I'll be done with the game if/when that day comes if it just devalues my existing 5* and 6* champ's.

More boss rushes, more celebrity challenges, more variants that utilize full rosters, less repeat characters/ranks, unique/rewarding challenges that don't alpunish players with insane nodes, but motivate them by learning a new skill are the way to go if they want to keep the existing long term player base and grow newer players into long term players.
