Great call, Zola. Let’s pretend (PRETEND) the community’s wants were unrealistic. Kabam still sees that on the forums in advance and has countless options to temper expectations.

They know we track deals over time, and knew we would watch that trajectory to develop an expectation for today. Heck, they could’ve warned us - “July 4 deals were so tasty because Throne Breaker didn’t exist. If you’re cavalier, we don’t want you to be disappointed, but you’re gonna get offers much closer to uncollected than TB.” How hard is that?

I’ve spent for every Black Friday and July 4 since BF2017 (which I think was cyber Monday). I spent nothing. I didn’t even spend the 5000 units I saved. I can count on one hand the number of 5-star pulls that will materially affect my account. I’m not throwing away my stash for an RNG clown fiesta.

3000 6-star shards and no tier 5 anything. Wtf.

People need to boycott for real- they seem to only care about a small segment and have been showing it consistently lately. They have put all their focus on the the top and ignoring the rest. I’m done with my sigil and won’t give them any more $. Hope it was worth it. I’ll play still but will do it for free.

Damn it. Really! Been busy all day doing working and dealing with irritating people. Through it all I was like all good when your done cyber weekend deals are waiting. I was ready to spend $ so I can finally get a R3 and get throne breaker....... and all the cav deals are trash. This maybe the first Black Friday I don't spend a bunch of money. I literally don't need resources or crystal shards. T5cc is the only thing I was going to spend for. Kabam if you didn't want my money why did you work so hard the last couple of months dangling Throne Breaker?

Basic economics:
Create a new product : T5cc (check)
Create demand by creating a high demand situation: Throne breaker title and perks (check)
Sell products to consumers to acquire in demand product for a hefty profit: Great big fail.

You guys literally didn't take advantage of your situation. Thank you for saving me hundreds of dollars.

Well, instead of spending 100-300 dollars in deals, I’ll be spending nothing and taking a step back from the game because of how cav played got shafted. Not even ALMOST tempting. Wonder how much money Kabam left on the table today for others who feel the same.

Not only are the cash offers for cavalier underwhelming, the unit offers are awful for F2P players. Disappointment would be an understatement. Why on earth would cavalier players want t4bc as part of the 1000 unit deal? I already have 10 in overflow.
It's part of the first Offer only. Which you still use them to Rank Champs.
The fact that you need to buy an offer that isn’t worth it to unlock the next deal is bs. Compare this with the 4th of July deals earlier this year, this is awful. And I’ve already mentioned that I have over 10 overflowing so I would have already ranked up champs if I wanted to.
You might, others might not. To the best of my knowledge, no one has outgrown T4CCs. At the very least, you need them to R2 a 6*.

The game would be in a sad state of affairs if they constantly had to do more every Offer. The bottom line is, you have a great deal of Resources that are offered this weekend which aren't normally offered for the price they are, regardless of what they gave before or what people think of them.
I'm not ignorant. I get that people are disappointed with them. Anyone with reading capabilities could see that. I'm also aware that it will affect the outcome of sales after this. I get it. I'm just not comparing it to anything else. These Offers are stand-alone.
Realistically, some people expected more towards TB. I understand that. Some even thought they'd be hitting TB with the Offers and scooping up more. A nice idea, but not a reasonable thing to assume. I'm speaking from experience. Anytime I let the hamster run and start building expectations, I end up setting myself up for disappointment because things rarely line up when they pan out. Which is why I've adopted a wait-and-see approach.

I don't think it's reasonable for the game to know exactly what each of us need personally, and I don't think it's reasonable to think everyone that's Cav would get the Cat they needed to hit TB in one day.

Everyone pretty much said it. 1800 frags away from an r3. Figured I would push 100% exploration on 6.1, maybe I would get lucky with the 25% t5cc...nope. Okay, 100% 6.2...lucky? Nope. Maybe 100% EQ...nope. 4* challenge...nope. I think you get the idea. Not having a selector in any of the deals is crazy considering there was just an offer for $100 earlier in the week.

I can’t even bring myself to watch the opening on You Tube or find the motivation to push exploration any more in Act 6. Most likely get another 25% of a catalyst that doesn’t produce a full cc. New champions get you nowhere if you can’t rank them up. I ave 7 t5b...7. T2A in overflow. If we can’t rank 6 stars, we can’t join top tier allies to even get additional access to t5cc. It is a shame.

They gave the Thronebreaker Summoners "Rich Get Richer" node boost and Cavalier Summoners got the brand new "Rooted" node keeping us planted at Cavalier. Nice.

I’m thronebreaker but a possible option for the cavaliers would be to have the Xmas deals more beefed up. Normally cyber/july 4 deals are better but it doesn’t always have to follow that trend.

It IS a slap in the face. I grinded my ass off for units and saved up hoping to get better deals than last year. Something to help my game progression.
I at least expected to see a selector in the money offers.

But the decent deals are locked behind a peasant gate unlocked by luck? That makes all the time and REAL money i spent over the past year POINTLESS.

Moreover, TB real money offers are more value than CAV - despite it being the same money. The whole concept is mindblowing. As if cavalier aren't dedicated customers.

As a customer, that is EXACTLY what i call a slap in the face.

If im being honest, i normally dont complain, but yeah the cav deals were definitely a significant disappointment. Personally i feel like there should have been more t5b or t5cc selectors atleast. Just something that is more geared to progressing and not staying idle. These deals get everyone excited because they can be account changing. But for cav players it was far from account changing. Just a little boost. Its just disappointing. And the issue with fixing it for the future is it already put us behind where we want to be. If it gets fixed for next cyber weekend, it won't matter for current cavs who already were on the cusp of thronebreaker. Its once again only going to boost those who may currently be uncollected. I mean nothing can be done at this point. But definitely is a little disappointing. Just my opinion though

Kabam basically declared ‘War’ against every cavalier player. This is the biggest ‘fu@k you’ I have ever seen since playing this game.

Obviously Kabam hates money because I was prepared to spend north of $AUD480 (cost of three Odin’s) so I could get the T5CC to rank up the one 6* champ I own to Rank 3.

Now I have spent nothing and because this is the way Kabam want to treat their cavalier players I’m becoming a free to play. This **** act sealed the deal for me.

If Kabam want to get players like me back on side they need to do 2 things immediately. Compensate those players who did purchase the cavalier deals and make immediate improvements to the offers still left.

They gave a significant amount of Resources which would otherwise be earned over time, in exchange for Units and/or money, and in the case of the money deals, the value of what's regularly offered was increased greatly by adding other things. You're certainly entitled to your feelings on it, but it's not a slap in the face.

You guys have a very limited window to fix this. Compensate those who have purchased the cash offers with better kit and amend the kit that’s currently available.

even thronebreaker deals were not that good to be honest. previous july 4th had me hooked on every single cash deals including the 5 dollar. but now only the top 2 deals were good enough but too expensive for an average person to purchase.

Im also not angry by any means. Just disappointed. But i do think giving feedback does help, they usually do listen. Sometimes a little later than hoped but they do listen. But yeah, just hope things change for those who are cav next time around. I should be thronebreaker by then cuz im spending all the units i got and running abyss which i probably should have done before anyways

Right now, I can only think of two rationales for the deal structures. One, that the team honestly decided the offers were appropriate for the progression tiers, which would suggest an utter disconnection with the player base—despite having all available game and account data and access to player discussions on these forums, Reddit, etc.

The second rationale would be that the team believed the offers (particularly the weak T5c availability at the Cav level combined with disparate item pricing between Cav and TB) would stoke a fierce FOMO response in Cavs deemed too lazy to complete certain content or too picky to rank up junk champs. This one is troubling, because it appears to take a dim view of a set of pretty loyal customers. I would hope it isn’t close to the real rationale.

There may be other viable rationales, but I can’t think of one right now. I have to confess that, if the team did a 180 and opened TB offers up to Cavs, I wouldn’t bite. It’s pretty clear how the company views my business. If that bothers you like it does me, it ought to permanently affect how you approach spending anything on this game.
