My F2P non-grinder perspective on deals
Since the cyber Monday, I have seen a lot of people become advocates for the F2P community. There has been a lot of talk about balance being shifted to the P2W with regards to the gifting event and poor deals that were available this weekend.
Let me reiterate what I have always said and believed about deals as F2P non-grinder:
Affordable good deals destroy the balance of the game for the F2P, not the bad pricey ones.
Affordable good deals means that a significant number of people will buy them and since they are good, they will get a pretty big advantage over you.
Whereas an extortionate deal (like the gifting event) does not affect me one bit. Only 30 people are going to get the "broken" rewards. That is nothing. Now if they had put t5cc selector in 4k units or $ equivalent deals, everyone in plat bracket would have gotten it and you as a F2P would have been left behind definitely.
Ideally, I believe the rarest of resource should always be hidden behind content and not sold... but if that ship has failed, I hope that the deals are always very high priced and not very good. Every time a good deal is floated in the game, the content rewards are cheapened.
