AW Season 23 starting time and holiday problems

First of all i would like to thank kabam for giving us act7 and variant 6 in 2020.
those events are really interesting and we all have hands full during the first weeks of december with caveq, act7 and var6+ some side events and missions.
the new version of AQ will also demand from us new plans and adaptations which is already pretty big task we could solve till christmas and new year period.

now the problem is that AW Season starts on 23.12 and we have an attack phase during 31.12-01.01
nobody can expect on that day that people are really online and play seriously.

thats why i as an officer from masters top10 would ask kabam to delay war season for 2 weeks in ideal case but at least or a week.

if u dont do this people will have to leave and rejoin after. this would cause a big chaos and stress in most alliances out there.
you would put some huge load on leaders and officers in that case also disrupt internal situations between people.

to avoid really unneeded stress please delay the war season. give us the possibility to meet those holidays normally with family and be good to our members in alliances.

This comes up every year for whatever holiday people are talking about and every year it's the same. It's annoying but they're not gonna change it.

On-season AW on Christmas and New Years days sounds grim, especially with the gifting event lock-in. Totally agree with OP, nice suggestion.

Between book 2 and v6 releases alongside the normal EQ/side quest content, there will be a lot of things to do in the game for those who perhaps don’t celebrate the Christmas/New Year period, so I really see delaying the war season as a good thing all round. Kabam mods on the forums have been a lot more responsive this year so hopefully if this thread gets enough attention they’ll consider it. I agree with everything the OP said, good suggestion @qartweli

Did we do the same for other religious festivals?
lets say for religion equal treatment 25 december..ok..muslims dont care for that afaik and i dont say a word.
but 31 to 1 is a new years eve and i think the whole world meets that day right?

Even if you're not religious, the gifting event and all the other events make this so busy time players will not participate. It is best if AW started in 2021.

Maybe this year of all years you shouldn’t be out and about with strangers.

They've never altered the schedule for AQ and AW in the past for holidays since not everyone that plays, celebrates the same holidays.

Would be nice to have a break. I mean I know I can play and set the attack phase up but there’s no chance I’m going to start pinging some of my alliance mates who I know have kids just for AW.

Christmas may technically be a religious festival but let’s be real, at least in the UK, 90% of families do Christmas whether they’re Christian, Muslim, Jedi or a stalwart atheist. Jehovah’s witnesses are probably the only people/religious group being actively ‘not-Christmassy’.

Obviously I can’t speak for the rest of the world, but the in the UK it’s primarily a family festival not a religious event, irrelevant of the religious connotations.

We’ve got a 4 day window where we can visit family relatively unrestricted between 23-27th December before we’re back under COVID restrictions so it’d be nice for a lot of the boys to be able to have a vacation without feelings bad about letting the team down.

More of a pipe dream at this point. It sucks for sure but they never change it. I hope they do this year. Because as an officer, it sucks to have to ping people and ask them to move on these holidays.
And Christmas+New Years is usually holidays in most countries as well.

I recognize that this is unrealistic because of what it would do to the bottom line, but I wish it followed a 4 weeks on / 4 weeks off schedule that would track from the middle of EQ to the middle of the next EQ. It would guarantee two war-free weeks to run content without 8 champs tied down.

It would be a huge pro player move if they delayed war seasons for it. AQ we have a choice to run stress free AQ if we want, war, we dont. It messes up a whole season of effort.
Kabam please consider this.

Winter break is a time where i’m off work, i would be very sad if this happened 😭
