Human Torch Sig Ability in the Abyss

hello I did the easy path a month ago when I didnt't have torch yet. now I have him as an unduped 5 star and wonder if his sig ability is necessary for the abyss, particularly for path 2.

You only need it for the Mephisto fight

Sig helps for sure to make fights faster / solo, but it is really Only needed for the mephisto fight, other than that it is just a nice bonus.

I'd say needed for Mephisto. I'm doing path 1 and I found rekindle very helpful for the Mordo fight.
